    I've watched hi interviews .. he completely expect the thing not to go anywhere .. thats why he stuck the boring company name on it..

    i watched most of the joe rogan interview with elon musk .. very interesting guy..

      I think all of that recent pot smoking is starting to get to him. He's beginning to believe all of his own fantasies. A modicum of self-doubt, rooted in reality as we know it, is probably not a bad thing. Like, even 5%, maybe. lol

      Don't get me wrong. I believe the guy is a brilliant visionary, but a mind like that does need to be polluted with something that just makes you lazy and stupid.

        well remember he is trying to do what he can to save the human race before the AI's take over and kill us in 40 years ..

        His concept of success .. is much different than anyone elses.. before tesla .. electric cars where not a thing .. now tesla can go out of business because all the major car companies are building electric cars.. and to elon.. that is success ..

        same with his rockets.. and the giga battery factories .. that before no one was thinking of it.. now a dozen companies around the world ..are building giga factories ..

        so unlike a peter thiel who is just dominate everyone.. or the common do everything to beat the competition.. the strange thing about elon.. is he is fine with getting a huge amount of competition on something where there is non ..

            AI's won't kill us .. on their own ..people who adapt an use technology to their advantage will have a greater survival or ability to thrive ..as has nearly always been the case ..also gives them the ability to dominate those who don't adapt ..

            AI and robotic are just advanced tech ..that is available to nearly everyone ..if people don't learn how to use it .. those who don't will not do that well comparatively..we may supply minimum basic living needs at some point without making people jump through hundreds of oops and swear to being poor and destitute ..but minimum is minimum ..when there will be virtually no ceiling


            now back to musk .. he doesn't even have to be the leader to succeed.. heck the establish car companies can probably build way more electric cars than him on a weekly basis.. because the 5000 cars a week tesla makes is nothing.. but the fact that before tesela that was like the total number of ev's built and sold a year ..

                      I was referring to my making the switch based on a prolonged life expectancy. I wouldn't trade what I have now for anything in the world and it will hold me for the rest of my life.

          No, Ford came up with the megafactory concept, or raw materials in and a Model T out the other.

          But l agree that Musk ploughing ahead in a risky economy drives more confidence in the industry.

            I was driving electric forklifts 20 years ago.. just never though to drive one too and from the job.. or on the highway ..

                It not musk warship.. we are not fully in disagreement .. it was an old idea older than gasoline vehicles

                10 years ago though before the roadster .. you could sit next to the highway and have as much chance of seeing a rover drive by as a fully electric car .. now i think the total percent of electric cars is at 1 percent .. but tesla on't produces what 20,000 -30,000 cars a month. now and it was behind on it production goals.. and will probably always be a small player in car manufacturing.. even in the future when most cars made will be ev ..

                you just said it yourself.. production electric vehicles had lost out to Gasoline/diesel for many decades.. now it still small but rapidly growing.. with a consumer demand for them.. that was not there past a a few people willing to pay way to much for a car with a very short range

                10 years ago there where probably more cars on the road converted to use used cooking oil .. than real electric cars that you could drive 100 miles listen to the radio and run the air con.

                so you are right.. but i'm not actualy a muck fan boi.. and i don't care if tesla motors when out of business tomorrow.. production electric cars are now a thing for every car manufacturer

I have reached the point that it seems no matter what I buy these days that costs anything over a few hundred dollars, I generally get to say, "Well, that's probably the last one of those I'll ever have to buy." The car was no exception. There is nothing worse than the experience of buying a car. I'm done! :-)

      i wonder if after selling flame throwers that were "not a flame thrower.. there is a need to sell "takillya" that is not really tequila ..

      the other weird business model ..do a limited run of a product sell it all out .. and then move on to the next product ..

      but looking at the list ..it looks more defensive to prevent others from using the trademarks .. than actual intent to produce a product
