Can/How I use Dragon Naturally speaking to access menu bars and subsequent buttons?

I'm new to DNS - just installed a few days ago and have a new Logitech headset with mic that I bought separately. I've been through all the included tutorials and searched the web, but can't find any mention of how to 'click' on toolbar items, menus, and corresponding items within those toolbar menus. I am a disabled i.t. pro and expected to be pretty able to figure this out, but I haven't. Humbly, with hat in hand, I must admit that I'm stumped... Is this even possible and, if so, how??
Thanks much!

    Greetings,

If you are a Mac user you can employ the built-in 'Accessibility' functions that are part of the system-wide, feature-set used to aid the visually or physically impaired.

Additionally, you should contact Dragon directly. They have a team dedicated to these issues and solutions for many of them.

    Good luck.

Thank you for your thoughts....Win10 user, actually, and I first tried its built-in speech recognition capability and found it to be lacking in several capacities that I thought dragon would be far better equipped to handle.....I have also tried contacting dragon directly and they wouldn't give me the time of day b/c I purchased the software off ebay electronically(far cheaper than through Dragon's website(have to pinch what pennies I can on strictly ssd income and all!)).

The nerve of those people. Not you giving you support after you didn't pay the company the price that includes support. What is this world coming to???

I've been disabled for most of my life. A disability is something you strive to overcome, not use as an excuse.

That said, we all have choices and we tend make the ones that we believe are best for us.

Also best to take screen shots of all of your settings, just in case some mandatory update resets or removes them or the software.

That's just dumb. Windows doesn't just reset 3rd party software or remove it.

Windows 10 does not, just Windows 7. Wait, Shane, have you not got that?

Only because I was curious myself, I looked up the answer and found it here. If you follow the links for the application you want to use, it goes into detail about how to access the menus, etc.

45% of people still use Windows 7 OS, and a good number of business in AU still use it.

Telstra and JB being two, (pretty ironic that JB, who is selling Laptops with 10 on them, doesn't actually use it for its business operations).

Probably the lack of privacy has spooked big business?

True that l cannot prove that it physically removes third party programs, and Windows Movie Maker does not come with w10, although it can be installed again,....and again.

True that l cannot prove that it physically removes third party programs, and Windows Movie Maker does not come with w10, although it can be installed again,....and again.

In the U.S. the majority of Mobile Providers I support use Windows 7 and just about any customer service support business uses it. The main reason is because it can be customized fairly easy wherein specific functions and programs can be disabled and enabled for different reasons.

When we read articles by Microsoft or on sites that say Microsoft says no longer supports this or that they are usually referring to the OS for consumers. For Businesses that maintain the Enterprise Licensed OS it typically would not apply. Most Fortune 500 companies have IT employees that work closely with Microsoft.

Yes, Windows 10, updates have issues some serious and some not so. Removed Useful settings, down the bottom of he page is a classic.

I had updates turned on on my old w7 Laptop, and nobbling VLC media player was a recurring issue, as was, the volume being reduced, and the file being named as 1, only going to a file with a one in it , instead of the desktop.

And not to my surprize w10 updates carry advertising, and so forth. Probably another reason big business won't touch it, (l know Enterprize can delay updates, but it cannot stop them).

I have had updates turned off in my w7Pro, for 1 year 9 months so far, the OS is in perfect working order, and no new issues.

But l agree WIndows 10 users do have more fun than l do, lol.

Sure you can. Lots of ways regardless of the version: Straight from Microsoft.
Be sure to scroll down and learn more from the different advisors.

Oh, and BTW, the article you recommended is out of date March 2017.

l am surprised that updates can now be turned off, on W10 and Enterprise.

Although w10 is tricky and Enterprise almost needs a PHD, to do it, but still a big step in the right direction.

I know that it is out of date, l didn't want to mention the October update this year, considering the deleted file issue affecting a small number of people had before Microsoft pulled it.
