James Gilliland Ranch at Trout Lake, WA near Mt Adams

Has anyone here ever been to the James Gilliland ranch? I'm thinking Sal maybe, since I seem to remember her talking about Skamania County.

It appears to be a hotbed of UFO activity. After reading about it online, I've pretty much decided I'm going to do some camping in that area come next spring.

Hi John -- Yes I've been in that area. I lived about 20 or 30 miles from it the way the crow flies......about 50 via roads most of my time out there and about 12 via roads for a few months. The MT Adams area has a lot of land "off limits" on the East side of the MT. (Indian land) But there's a lot going on in the regions above the main drag (hwy14) that is very unsettling. I had two very chilling experiences out in the Klickitat area (by the town of Klickitat in Klickitat County - and there are areas in Skamania/Klickitat border regions that are just plain off limits with no observable reasons, and I mean area 51 off-limits, when I say this. They are hard to find but when you do as much running around the hills as Munch and I used to do, you find them.

The W and NW areas of the Mt Adams region has pockets of crystals and agates if you are into hunting that stuff. There are some good camping spots up there - both primative and a little bit built up if you prefer "neighbors" while you camp.

As far as the ranch - I never was privvy to any vortex activity around there that I know of - it was in Klickitat that I have to wonder about that one. Sometimes you will see strange stuff around the mountain though - strange lights, strange clouds, etc. It's a pretty mysterious area.

I'll never go back to the Klickitat region. Trust me on that one. That area isn't mysterious, it's just ****ing scary.

While at the ranch they claim "vortex", and they may be right - I'm thinking a lot of what goes on is military and/or research. Of course, if there is a vortex, that would sure be something that would bring on military and/or research. Check out google earth and find the blackout areas - and avoid them.

Even if you never experience the strange out there -- it's a very awesome spot to take a break for a few days.

Thanks, Sal. I figured you'd have something to say about the area.

I'm definitely going to head down there in the spring with the Jeep and a GPS. I see FS 23 goes from Randle (Hwy 12) around the west side of Mt Adams to Trout Lake. I'll likely start there.

Yeah 23 is what I used to go in on from the other direction (Klickitat). Once you get to the Trout Lake area, you are out of camping areas and into rural occupied lands so if you are going to the ranch you might have to drive a bit N. to find camping. If you just want to scope out the area for a night you will want to park somewhere north on some of the side roads - you will find good isolated campsites there here and again within a range to see if things in the area are getting bizarre.

I talked to a lot of people who visited the ranch and nobody ever saw anything particularly unusual, which tells me only that they aren't setting up staged events - but it also doesn't prove there are any going on either. Maybe you'll get lucky, eh?

Of course, I'll want to hear if you see any thing real strange -- or if you experience a time lapse, etc.
