Ok, idle hands and all that. Here are some well know movies with different endings, or parallel universe endings...

The comet hits Earth,.....in The Great Escape the guy on the bike gets into Switzerland, and so forth.

Don't know what you will win, but it will give you something to do, and l may even send you some Xmas pudding, (sorry no brandy custard).

Ok, down to business, try and guess what these alternate movie endings, originally came from, (or which movies).

#1

#2

#3

I know a bit sloppy, but the truck is still on the hill.

#4

#5

#6

Try and guess these if you dare, maaaagggg.

    5) Firefox

    6) River Kwai

    Fairly certain.

    2 and 3 I will guess at.

      Ok, Mark you win!

Got them all right, except Flight of the Phoenix was number #2, or in this version the plane crashes and they are all toast, (the one they build).

The only one no one got correctly was #3, but l will probably do some more and include that.

The Italian Job, they don't go over the cliff.

Firefox, the Russian helicopters get to the plane before it takes off.

Ok, prizes, since Whatti and Kurt got one right each, l will do whatever to their avatar images, (so Xmas hat, baubles, tree glitter, or something else, or something for new years, perhaps)

I have about $200 dollars worth if high end seasonal images and elements on standby, (examples given,...well l can't say).

You can pM me if you like, but you can also say, go ahead and l want this or that or surprize me here, (l will cut and paste your avatar image, and re post it here)?

Ok, Mark, you can either have several avatar image makeovers, (one for Xmas, New Year, etc) or PM me for something more involved?

Doing a Gif animation of something with Claude's face on it, would probably benefit both of us, lol.

But anyway you have won this round, (having an alcohol and pudding free day does have its pluses) so it is up to you, but keep it reasonably simple, l am on a break, so don't want to take on any big projects, but small and fun, sure, welcome those.

Yep that one is going to take some topping.

The only thing I can think of that would come close is an animated GIF of a garden gnome being repeatedly punched in the face.

Nonsense, Claude gifs are a bottomless pit...

    As is his smiley collection.

Just put your mouse over one and "save image as", if you are foolhardy enough to use one; the gif above has an alternate person playing the monkey, (Claude) but thankfully the ending stays the same, lol.

And thanks Kurt, but l was thinking more alone the lines of Claudes face on a mule, (stable genius) or something equally relevant?

    1. Duel. I was surprised nobody got that one the first time.

    2. Star Wars

    3. Day the Earth Stood Still

    4. Return of the Jedi? Is that R2? No, I don't think that's right.

Arrr, no, #4 was a nice try, and if l give a clue l will blow it, but..........it was going pretty fast before it blew up, lol.

Well, you do have to feel sorry for Claude. He suffers from a rare genetic malady called focal rectal disorder. Minimal focus or concentration, such as required for reading and extremely simple math, causes Claude to crap his pants.

Lol, yes, l tried to quote Claude's slipup, but it wouldn't work, so l then realized that after he went back to my post, clearly showing that #4 was actually #5, and then back to his and then back up to my post and back down to his, and ...well, a good 5 minutes later, (and a brief toilet break and change of underwear) finally realized that he goofed, it was too late, (l took a screenshot, for prosperity).

Yeah, stable-hand genius and he has Franchis the Talking Mule as a witness.

Ok, no one has got this, and Claude will probably need therapy for his attempt, so a clue.

Being a millennial isn't a valid excuse not to watch great films simply because they're older than you.

(Not that all of the films above are great films...)

Agreed, The Day the Earth Stood Still was a classic 1951, with most millennial's only knowing about the 2008 modern one, which is seriously s****house by comparison, (especially the dumb ending).

Most remakes are crap, with the Italian Job and Total Recall being two examples.

I guess that l will need to give another clue, that will probably give it away, but oh, well.

Even after "sciencing the s***t out of it", it still blew up, (at least in my version).

I expect that even Claude on a good day can get it now?
