So, tell me where to go... as it were.

I recently posted about my 9,400 mile car trip I took last year.

Car Trippen - 18 days - 9,400 miles.

I am looking for a few more trips in 2019 and thought I would ask for your recommendations.

I am checking out the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta® for October.

Any other ideas, thoughts, recommendations? Are you doing any travels this year?

Let me know.

    Tips:

    1. Avoid girls with prominent adam apples.
    2. Go to the bathroom before you go up in a balloon.
    3. Put your wallet in your front pocket before walking around the grounds.
    4. Eat the tequila worm because the worm cures all.

There are no worms in tequila, they are in Mezcal.

    They taste like chicken.

True. Joe, just don't eat anything 'wormy' found in any beverage. Unless of course you like chicken and visions of chickens eating humans

Damn, and l was hoping this may be your new WSO?
        WORM-IN-ATOR!!!

This completely new piece of software, (redeveloped, well, we just hired some kid from Fiverr to update the product visuals, from a pretty useless 70's throwback) will revolutionize your workflow like never before.

And we guarantee you that you will be blissfully walking alone the streets, (of tropical ocean shoreline, if you live near one) with at least two dogs.

Your money, grungly refunded in the fullness of time, or when the moon is full.

PS we offer no guarantee's that a refund will be given, and most likely we will put it under some parking fine infringements or near our pet goat, and this barely working product will offer any assistance, although you will get a pretty cool worm icon. PPS is guarantee,...blah, blah.

PPPS we offer no guarantee that you will be walking alone a beach with two dogs, (usually oversized, white, fluffy ones, to show you are a rich b***ard to every one else) although after purchase and in a drunken state, it is more than likely that two strays may follow you?

My favorite vacations were those where I headed in a direction and stopped when I found something interesting. That said, I would hate a vacation if I spent all day every day in a car.

I like the exploring new places - but not the getting there and back part.

True. I almost said something similar.

These days we avoid long road trips because hotel beds are often infested with bed bugs and they taste awful. Plus, floss doesn't really help.

Trains are better in many ways. The bed bugs taste a little better on trains. Don't know why. They just do.

Airplanes are a little better than trains. There are no beds. However, once we reach the destination we rent a camper, replace the bed mattress with a new one and the rental agency never knows the difference.

The thing about airplanes is the cost of two round-trip tickets is kinda high these days. To get around that I just get one round-trip ticket for me and make the wife walk back.

I would probably never get out of town.

Not sure if you are into Ballooning but here is something worth looking into - The 37th Annual QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning: Home the festival takes place every July. They usually have decent concerts at night with well known bands. You would be close to the Pa and New York state lines so you could hit a few different areas. NJ is not that bad itself if you are just visiting. A lot of different events to hit up and down the North East take place that time of year.

I suggest the North Shore of Lake Superior.

Be sure to visit the Lake Superior Marine Museum & Maritime Visitor Center in Duluth.

To the NW you have thousands of acres of State and National forest and the Boundry Waters Wilderness Area.

If possible, early Spring or late Autumn are the best times. If you come in Summer, bring lots of 100% Deet.
