Skip the advertising at the start and end.

Yep, 213 nukes to make water flow into an inland low area in the Sahara, to generate electricity, (the baseload kind) and make the area more habitable.

Never mind it being the biggest explosion in human history and having a possible chance of land continents doing freaky things, and the radiation thing.

Might even push the Earth out of its orbital traqectory, (yeah, l know too much tv).

Either way entertaining.

Damn. I was going to open a fossil manufacturing plant this year.

"Fresh new fossils" was going to be our motto.

You are too busy eating them, always going out for a Trilobite.

Must be pretty dam cold where you are now. I thought perhaps you had gone into hibernation.

      No, it means reliable power!

So if we have a megafactory full of cats frantically chasing a red dot, on a wheel, to generate a reliable source of power, then it covers baseload demands.

I know that Claude wanted to use rubber mouses on string, but it wasn't as reliable.

No, it doesn't. How's that "reliable" fossil fuel powered energy going for you in Victoria? You just had to import electricity from South Australia's array of renewables.

Rupert Murdoch, the owner of that rag you like so much also has extensive holdings in fossil fuel companies including oil and coal. That tells you everything you need to know about how reliable a source it is. (Hint: It's not).

NSW & Victoria now share the honour of the best performing Australian economy..

I can't see that we imported anything from SA, apart from them needing our help decreasing down 70% which is probably due to the Tesla battery, and buying from NSW/Q increasing substantially.

Ok, (l read as many as l could stomach) baseload may have other meanings, but for most it means keeping the lights on.

Clearly last Friday we, (Victoria fell short) and it is true that solar did carry the burden at midday, but at 7pm, was useless, and wind only gave us 5%, which was pretty useless.

I don't know much about the simulations showing that 100% w/s will fix everything, but it sounds like a fairy-tale.

SA has almost 50% renewables and blackouts in that state for short periods of time, were a common occurrence, perhaps til recently.

Our state, we had a choice between 200,000 poor neighbourhoods around Melbourne going without power, on a stikin hot day, or the entire grid, going!

This is with the army of diesel generators, and gas ones that should have taken up the loss, but with Hazelwood gone, (22% buffer) and an immediate increase, we had the restricted blackout, then had to buy it from Queensland and NSW, at about 4k per kw hour instead of $90, (usual cost) which will drive up our prices, yet again!

As for moaning about the Newspaper, that is up to you, but they use facts, so...

All of your links above use computer simulations to show something, and say that we can have 100% renewables with we find enough dams to build hydro systems from, (which is next to impossible these days).

So unless we build enough hydro systems, the entire idea of 100% renewables is just that an idea, and without hydro, an idea that is damaging our country.

Victoria is the equal strongest performing economy in Australia at the moment.

Yes, currently, but since the aluminum smelter also had to phase down its operations during the last blackout, for how long?

And yeah, don't worry from what l hear, things will change in a few months time, and the whole of Australia, (including the states that still have the brains to keep their coal systems) will go, then we, (Vic) will have no one to buy any emergency backup power from.

Or a nice way to put it Australia, will become a third world, f***up mess, that won't save anything.

Then why don't you leave before that happens? Go and live somewhere else. Oh that's right you're not the type who's got any get up and go (literally or figuratively) are you?.

Rather than upgrade your outdated copy of Photoshop, you'd prefer to whinge about how your decade old software no longer works. Instead of taking advantage of the many available alternatives to FTA TV, you'd rather whinge about the parlous state of FTA TV.

You had a golden opportunity fall into your lap a while back when you updated some photos for Terra. There's loads of people who would pay a pretty penny to have that done for their old family snapshots. That's before we even get to local councils, libraries, state and federal archives, etc., who all have hundreds, if not hundreds of thousands of old photos that could be given the Taggo treatment - at huge profit mark up to you.

            Did you do that though?

Nope. You devoted all your time to trying to create a new font, because let's face it, the world is full of people who've made millions from font design. And of course, whinging about how your obsolete copy of Photoshop no longer works, and how FTA TV doesn't provide you with quality programming.

It's remarkable that someone who claims to be psychic and able to "remote view" and see ghosts can't see what's right under their nose.

Anyway, a tsunami is coming. It started in WA in 2017, continued through Victoria in 2018, and will engulf NSW in March and then Australia as a whole in May.

I'm looking forward to it, and have already made plans on how to benefit from this coming tsunami.

How about you, Mr Remote Viewing Psychic? Any plans other than whinging about how the 21st century has left you behind?

So l should leave Australia, because dumb and dumber is becoming more mainstream, nope.

I wouldn't say golden, but it was an opportunity, (some offer that service on Fiverr).

Ok, ok, you got me on the font one, l still do that, but it is more of a hobby now than anything else, as is flyers.

Can't see what is under my nose, depends on which nose you are talking about, lol.

Yes, it looks like the tsunami is inevitable, and people have to go through heat, a fridge full of throwouts and a dead smart phone before anything sinks in?

Mr, Remote......sffft, sounds dangerously close to an insult!

Any plans, lol, currently doing a cer, 3 in microbusiness management around online trading, and saving the world, usual stuff.
