Who wants to set up a Go Fund Me campaign to sponsor some key Flat Earth Advocates for a visit.

    Well, I guess you were at least partly right! Earth does have its flat spots.

    In the Netflix "documentary" Behind the Curve, flat heads seriously try to prove the earth is not a globe. A hilarious failure.

    $35k a night to stay on the space station - $50 million for the trip from earth and bak.


    I could never accept (even if someone else paid) spending that much money on myself to have a 'great experience.'



    I doubt this will ever happen with the current space station but we'll see. The space station is about 20 years old and certified to last through 2020. I read an article that said that will be extended to 2024 and perhaps further but the systems on the station are aging even though repairs are done diligently.

      The BBC news Item I put a link to in my post is saying it is a reality. Starting in 2020 there will be 2 tourists allowed up there each year.

    Sure just as long as they walk home, and we can invite others, flatearthers are the tip of the iceberg, but at least they are not evil.

    what was i talking about about in the everest thread..

    this will be something exclusively for billionaires.. to have bragging rights ..
    then 50 or 100 years from now .. it will be something moderately wealthy people can dopeople with 500 million dollars or so.. or feel they must to to prove they made it.. or they are a success ..

    or 50 to 100 years from now .. billionaires will be minted like millionaires are getting minted today.. at like 3 million added to the million net worth class a year .. and you will have the stuff exclusively for trillion airs ..private space mansions .. or stuff like that..

      Agreed, when private enterprize gets into space and starts mining asteriods, (some rich in diamonds, etc) then Trillionares, will be the new norm.

        diamond are so abundant the only reason they are worth anything is 1 or two companies own all the mines , storage, and the marketing channels . but then jewlery crafted from certain designers also increases the value of the diamond in the jewlery..

        as for the asteroid mining.. once it is possible massively increasing the amount of these minnerals ..will rapidly diminish the value ..or lower the cost .

        but as i was taking about.. you can mine out an asteroid and build an exlusive mansion inside or exclusive restort if it is figured out how to spin the asteroid to create gravity inside
