Yes, I am still alive and kicking

Hi folks.

I have been AWOL since late last year for several reasons.
I wanted to drop by and let you all know why because some of you might have missed out on my assistance as a result.

1. Late last year I helped a client write the biggest reference book in her chosen niche. It prevented me from doing work for any new clients for 3-4 months.

2. In January this year I had major surgery on my neck to fix bulging discs and other problems. As a result, I have screws and rods in my neck and am STILL in a great deal of pain. I have been told it can take up to 12 months to recover, and this didn't go as well as planned.

While I am always keen to take on new clients IF/WHEN I have time, I am now finding it physically easier to do editing/proofreading work.
Please send me a message if you want my help.

I'm always happy to hear from my friends in here (if they are still around). It's great to see the forum is booming more than it was when I last dropped in.

    Hi Laurence -

I wondered where you'd gone off to - good to see you back here and hope recovery goes quickly.

Ok, last time we talked you mentioned going in for surgery, but l didn't want to pry, but yeah, take it easy.

Forum booming,....with Claude around it is more like bulging, but bulging is also good.

Good to hear from you and that you are alive and kicking, even though life is currently a pain in the neck.

I have been through a divorce and the death of my father since we last communed. Stuff happens.

Nice to see a few familiar faces replying.

@Kay, I am not sure there is much of an improvement compared to pre-surgery, sad to say. It is ALWAYS nice hearing from you.

@Shane. You never change, but sometimes that's a good thing too.
You never fail to put a smile on my dial.

@Ian. My condolences to you on the loss of your father...seems we are all getting older. My mum catches up with dad next week, at 82 years of age.
I hope the divorce was at least amicable.

@pramodtapu. I don't know your name but thank you for the welcome.

Thank you, one all. I will try to visit more often but I have just picked up a good job to do and $$$ is especially needed right now.
