Cryptocurrency Investors

Hi Everyone,

I don't know if this is an allowable topic here but I'm curious if there are many crypto investors at WF? I've recently been using Robinhood to follow crypto markets (specifically Ripple, Litecoin, and the ever popular Dogecoin). Does anyone else actively invest in these markets and if so, what's your favorite?

Their are only a few active threads on Crypto's here. Most are deleted and become spam targets. They all have the same host of responses either they are against it, or someone that defends it.

To answer your question, I have Robinhood and only used it for 3 small stocks. I use coinbase for my purchases. About the other 3 cryptos I do not own or trade in 1 of them but have tiny exposure in the other 2.

That isn't relevant to anything, thank you for the link though. Looks like you're right about your original response DWolf lol

Very cool. I've been using Robinhood for trading the past couple of years and I've had a lot of success with it. I don't want to say it was all luck because I did a lot of research and was pretty careful about the different stocks that I chose, but for the most part I got lucky with the actual picks I think. Only in the past month have I started looking at any of the cryptocurrencies and I took a small position in one of them out of pure speculation. I think the concept of cryptocurrency and the technology behind it is pretty fascinating but I'm not very well educated on it.

  • I'm in this one unrelated affiliate program that pays in Bitcoin. Just recently received a few payments and was able to cash out before the big dip. First I had converted Bitcoin to XRP, then I had both BTC and XRP, then I just dumped it for cash. All at CoinBase. Otherwise I do not actively invest in it these days myself.

That's pretty cool. I had tried to use coinbase last year to purchase Ripple but for some reason I couldn't figure out what I was doing because there were like multiple steps that I can't really remember. Must be a pretty lucrative affiliate program if they're paying you in bitcoins.

The cryptocurrency market is unpredictable so there is no guarantee any coin will be profitable tomorrow. The market crashed in 2018 though, and now the majority of the coins in the market are on the path to recovery.
