NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, has detected the water vapor for the first time above Europa's surface. The team measured the vapor by peering at Europa through one of the world's biggest telescopes in Hawaii.

Sweet!

Water is one of the most common molecules in the universe. Most comets and asteroids are made of rock and ice.
And that's what makes planets and moons.

The real news would have been if it was shown that there was no water at all on any planet or moon. Now, that would have been cause for concern....Who took the water?

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Liquid water or "vapor" at -454.75 Fahrenheit means a hot core which means the water at some point in contact with hot rocks which means the building blocks for life.

Many believe this is how the first life began on Earth.

First, intelligent point. but "building blocks of life" is misleading.

Every planet has the building blocks of life. The chemistry is the same everywhere. It's easy to produce amino acids in a lab. Far harder to produce a cell that consumes energy and reproduces.

Like mixing several buckets of paint, throwing them on a canvas...and getting the Mona Lisa. It eventually happened here, but the temperatures were right, there was electricity, and pools of water.

But yes, the vapor proves that there is a hot interior.

Not according to the scientists I listen to. They think it was at great depths near thermal vents where there is life now in 600-degree water no light, no air, extreme pressure.

There's little doubt that Europa has a global ocean 60 miles deep. It most likely has very similar conditions at depth.

Neil deGrasse Tyson said he'd like to drill a hole in the ice, drop down a camera and see what comes up and bites it.

What I meant was that "building blocks of life" is just the complex molecules needed to build proteins. And when scientists (especially in layman articles), that's all they mean.
Just like when you read an article that says "Organic molecules", they just mean complex molecules like carbon atoms attached to hydrogen, oxygen,or nitrogen. Way way way far away from actual single celled life.

So would I. My guess is that there is a "habitable zone" on lots of these moons and planets that could allow for simple life to evolve.

So, you're saying there could be planets upon planets of Whitacres out there?

            Shudder.

If by "Whitacres" you mean single celled bacteria..well...yes.

Perhaps Darwin got it wrong. Natural selection should've taken care of the blob long before it became sentient.

So that blind people can hate them as well.

Scientist have had access to the formula that created life for many years, yet they invented NASA to discover how life is created.

Official Warrior Forum Formula - Off Topic - 2020.

    first day - create light.
second day - create the sky.
third day - create dry land, seas, plants and trees.
fourth day - create the sun, moon and stars.
fifth day - create creatures that live in the sea and creatures that fly.
sixth day - create animals that live on the land and finally humans.
    seventh day - rest

In keeping with the formula, third day, water vapor (seas) exists after the first day (light) and the second day (sky).

The next step was on the fourth day - the sun, moon and stars.
Important note: Europa is a moon of Jupiter.

Thus Jupiter has already gone through the first four days.

The next step, fifth day, there will be creatures that live in the sea and creatures that fly.

after that, sixth day, - animals that live in Wooster and finally humans that hunt animals that live in Wooster.

On the seventh day - Wooster Bath House.

And they have found water vapor around a giant planet, which l think is 124 light years away, and is in the habitable zone, or a possible life bearing world.
