    I'm also an INTJ.

By the way, Claude is an IDIOT.

Added later: I didn't initially see the link for the test; I just knew my results from previous testing.

    Introvert(69%) iNtuitive(50%) Thinking(88%) Judging(53%)
You have distinct preference of Introversion over Extraversion (69%)
You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%)
You have strong preference of Thinking over Feeling (88%)
You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (53%)

I submitted that appraisal to the Jury, Judge Riffle and after 30 seconds they came out unanimously in your favour. They even apologized for it taking so long as a wasp got into the deliberation room.

Oh, and because I know you were all wondering, I'm INTP.

You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (34%)
You have marginal or no preference of Intuition over Sensing (3%)
You have slight preference of Thinking over Feeling (22%)
You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (6%)

      Famous INTPs:
      Socrates
      Rene Descartes
      Blaise Pascal
      Sir Isaac Newton
U.S. Presidents: James Madison, John Quincy Adams, John Tyler, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Gerald Ford
William Harvey (pioneer in human physiology)
      C. G. Jung, author of Psychological Types, etc.)
      William James
      Albert Einstein
      Charles Darwin

This is actually a pretty good description of me:
INTPs are pensive, analytical folks. They may venture so deeply into thought as to seem detached, and often actually are oblivious to the world around them.
      ...
INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to almost anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible.

Yes, specifically when I'm conveying that something is briefly and clearly expressed rather than short in measure. Kind of in the same vein that I would be averse to describing your manhood as succinct.

INTP. I remember a thread about Myers-Briggs in this section many years ago. Back then, I think the types of everyone who responded started with I for Introvert. Now that the internet has bred a world of exhibitionists, the results might be different.

Two threads - thanks for the links. However, I think you'll find that the members who scored an E have either gone away to start their own video channel or now spend all their time posting on Instasnap.

There is one thing I don't understand...Yes, Riffle, just one thing...

Why do we all seem to have the same score?

Is our personality type more likely to be on Forums? Are we more likely to be online?

Are the questions arranged to create a trend toward these results?

Are we answering the questions the way we think we are, instead of how we really are?

It seems like the answers should be more diverse.

"Are we answering the questions the way we think we are, instead of how we really are?"

There has to be a bias when we answer, about being cool, calm and collected, analytical, non judgemental, logical etc. It is nothing to do with how we will react given our immediate response to a real situation given our indoctonations, emotions etc. It is an ideal we would like to uphold but can't always aspire too.

To some extent, of course we are. However, we also may have a tendency to judge ourselves more harshly than others do.

When I was in my early 20s, The company I was going to work for sent questionnaires to five (I think) of my friends and relatives. The test separated into; Driven, Expressive, Amiable, And Analytical. No idea how many questions there were, but I know it was several pages long.

This was a test on how others saw you, not how you saw yourself. Most of us would be slightly one way or the other......slightly more analytical and slightly more amiable (for example.

They let me know the results....100% expressive. No other qualities, not even a little.

The test showed that I would be a great salesperson, if I sold one product/service, and it was a one time sale.

And then a few years ago, I realized that this was just how others saw me...because I hid my real thoughts. I was more glib, and hadn't started learning how to show empathy.

At the time of the tests, the only other person who had the evaluation done and got the same result was Johnny Carson.

It's interesting to me how different we see ourselves, compared to how others see us.

Frankly, I would have said I was more Amiable and Driven. But decades later, I see why they saw me that one way. A huge flaw in my personality.

I'm just very glad my wife has learned how to put up with me. As I'm sure Riffle's wife will eventually learn to put up with him.

  • tbh I prefer tests for stuff don't exist yet.

Like ... Proportions of the improbable plucked from potential eternities of uncertainty for max kinda outcomes regardin'

    Shoes!
    Guys!
    Alcohol!
    Kittens!
    Smoochie!

Been a while since I looked in on this kinda stuff, but I remembah the millenial version promised evrywan a dolphin spirit guide.

Turns out I was Hermione Graingah, which is kinda scientific, I guess.

Just gotta hope all the four-letter keys link up sumhow -- else'n we all jus' sittin' around with a buncha stoopid hats on don't actschwlly do nuthin'.

Hey, but if'n we got matchin' capes an' dental floss -- yeah, that would be real serious.

As it is, "Myers-Briggs Test" sounds too much to Moi like a reality show where gals of a delicate persuasion are sent back in time by evil beauticians an' forced to pull REAL SCRATCHY VIKING UNDERWEAR ovah their unblemished asses without screamin' their tits off.

      That would make you INTJ

Introvert 1%, Intuitive 1%, Thinking 1% and Judgmental 98%. I don't make up the rules.

Why do we all seem to have the same score?

Is our personality type more likely to be on Forums? Are we more likely to be online?

Are the questions arranged to create a trend toward these results?

Are we answering the questions the way we think we are, instead of how we really are?

It seems like the answers should be more diverse.
But Dan isn't a member of the "Wooster Soap and Suds forum". And l know that you have been just nominated the illustrious "Soap on a Robe Legend", distinction and currently have 9 out of 10 for your Feather Tickling rating, but the truth needs to be told!

And then a few years ago, I realized that this was just how others saw me...because I hid my real thoughts. I was more glib, and hadn't started learning how to show empathy.
I think that is part of being an 'introvert' - it doesn't always mean you are a wallflower or the quiet one in the group...often it means you are not what you appear to be at first glance.

I've always 'hidden' when I meet people - they see what i choose to show them and often that's not much like who I truly am. It's a protective mechanism and works well. I think it's a civilized way to interact....

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

      Totally agree.

      In principle.

Cos like if Benedict Cumberbatch shows, I will lick the hairs off his arms till my tongue bleeds.

Even if we are chained up togethah in a dungeon presided ovah by The Merciless God of All Introverts (& associated "punishment strategies").

Or The Merciless God of All Introverts an' The Merciful God of All Extroverts had a fishtank ... an' frick all else to do than toss Bene an' Moi into the f*cker in our anti-covid snorkel gear.

Call me a Lockdown Desperado, but ima sittin' by my phone rn, jus' waitin' for the call.

Gets any worse, mebbe ima lie down.
