Yes, specifically when I'm conveying that something is briefly and clearly expressed rather than short in measure. Kind of in the same vein that I would be averse to describing your manhood as succinct.

INTP. I remember a thread about Myers-Briggs in this section many years ago. Back then, I think the types of everyone who responded started with I for Introvert. Now that the internet has bred a world of exhibitionists, the results might be different.

There are different versions. This is a short one. I don't think it's technically the Myers-Briggs.

There is one thing I don't understand...Yes, Riffle, just one thing...

Why do we all seem to have the same score?

Is our personality type more likely to be on Forums? Are we more likely to be online?

Are the questions arranged to create a trend toward these results?

Are we answering the questions the way we think we are, instead of how we really are?

It seems like the answers should be more diverse.

There has to be a bias when we answer, about being cool, calm and collected, analytical, non judgemental, logical etc. It is nothing to do with how we will react given our immediate response to a real situation given our indoctonations, emotions etc. It is an ideal we would like to uphold but can't always aspire too.

Really good score. I read somewhere that the test was shortened after the generations iGen and Gen Z came to pass.

When I was in my early 20s, The company I was going to work for sent questionnaires to five (I think) of my friends and relatives. The test separated into; Driven, Expressive, Amiable, And Analytical. No idea how many questions there were, but I know it was several pages long.

This was a test on how others saw you, not how you saw yourself. Most of us would be slightly one way or the other......slightly more analytical and slightly more amiable (for example.

They let me know the results....100% expressive. No other qualities, not even a little.

And then a few years ago, I realized that this was just how others saw me...because I hid my real thoughts. I was more glib, and hadn't started learning how to show empathy.

At the time of the tests, the only other person who had the evaluation done and got the same result was Johnny Carson.

It's interesting to me how different we see ourselves, compared to how others see us.

Frankly, I would have said I was more Amiable and Driven. But decades later, I see why they saw me that one way. A huge flaw in my personality.

I'm just very glad my wife has learned how to put up with me. As I'm sure Riffle's wife will eventually learn to put up with him.

And then a few years ago, I realized that this was just how others saw me...because I hid my real thoughts. I was more glib, and hadn't started learning how to show empathy.

I think that is part of being an 'introvert' - it doesn't always mean you are a wallflower or the quiet one in the group...often it means you are not what you appear to be at first glance.

I've always 'hidden' when I meet people - they see what i choose to show them and often that's not much like who I truly am. It's a protective mechanism and works well. I think it's a civilized way to interact....
