How do you manage your time here - which threads, etc?

Hi,

Just curious how you manage your time here? I enjoy checking new threads and favorites, but also luv to see the new WSOs, Affiliate programs and many other areas of the forum.

But time doesn't stop, alas, for any of us.

So maybe touch base on some favorite areas first? Then make sure to hit business-related serious threads / forum areas next....then loop back to favorites?

What do you do? And how many threads are you subscribed to - -a bunch or just a couple?

And tips to share?

Thanks!

Personally, I start with "Notifications" because it shows the threads that I previously participated in and then I select "New Posts" because it show all new posts since my last visit. Some of the New Posts are also part of the Notifications, but that is okay with me.

Then I select some of my favorite member's posts/threads because they always seem to have important insights. All of the mods that frequent the forum are my favs.

Last, I use the "Search" for KFC coupons.

Sounds like a good game plan, thanks!

I'm cyber-stalking a few here, if that's the term...in a similar fashion. If I spot someone who appears successful in a niche I am interested in, I check out their threads / posts.

Regarding coupons....hmmm...have to look into those KFC coupons Sounds interesting!

Similar. I check the few threads I'm interested in....or if I see that someone I know has posted, I'll read the post.

I usually check the main and the beginners. I unsubscribe
because I don't like getting the notifications. Sometimes
I check the other forums looking for newbies I can help or
questions that I know about. Or think I know about. LoLs.

I try not to spend too much time on the forums because I
also have my household to run, my husband to take care
of, and I try real hard to get something productive done
for my websites everyday like develop some content, etc.

Tips to share. Don't engage in arguments or negative
conversations. And don't be so serious.

    Stay safe!!!

I use a levitometer on selected sections containing the most seriously dry topics. Whenever the remotely monitored algorithm drops below 3 on the 1-10 levity scale, I intervene (as time permits) to bring levity up to acceptable levels.

The levitometer for this thread suddenly dipped deep into the red zone again.

But, at 67 years of age I need to start managing my time more wisely.

There are other, far more more serious threads that need my immediate interceding attention.

I find my favorite threads (mostly mine), and read the best posts (always mine).

When I read something brilliant (mine again), I answer it..by completely agreeing (with me).

And when I read a hilarious joke (always my own), I compliment it.

Occasionally, someone (me) will ask a deep philosophical question with an unknowable answer. In all those cases, I (Claude Whitacre) completely answer the question (that I posed), hereby thoroughly impressing the most important person here (Me).

but sometimes l don't agree with myself and get quite cross at myself for posting something that l do not agree with, this can lead to insulting myself, and even deleting my own posts.

I can get quite cross with myself for posting what l don't like!

Totally agree, the only go-to places on the forum are where you have posted. The most insightful, deep and witty material is only to be found on Your Posts.

Why you posted a mugshot of such an ugly looking guy as your avatar though escapes me. You must be the most modest person I know.

That avatar image is almost 10 years old, so it is the better choice!

Yup. I remember when the photo was taken. I had at least a little hair on top, it was still black, and I only had three chins...

          Ahhhh those were the days.

That is a good start. Personally, I don't know everything. I know enough to determine if the "so called solution" is right or wrong.

      That's the trick.

As far as threads, productivity, etc. I mostly stay out of the OT subforum. Not because I don't like the people that hang out there or anything like that. But because the nature of the subforum can overtake threads that aren't designed for jokes.

For example, this thread which asked good questions that could help a lot of people, have turned into a totally different thing.

I've often mentioned that we need two OT forums. One for jokes and derailing and anything and everything goes and one for serious questions that don't fit elsewhere.

No offense intended to any of the guilty ones.
