There are few of us that live in the Path of the recent storms. Hope everybody is okay and several thousand people are still without power. Anybody in PA, NY or elsewhere effected ? Hope Big Frank made out okay and one of the Moderators who live in N.Y.

Don - I didn't realize that much damage was done but saw some of it on TV tonight.

I wonder why the reporters always feature 3-4 people complaining that power 'should be restored by now' - ' crews should have been prepared'....I've been through two major hurricanes and what I remember most is the lack of complaints....how everyone checked on each other and worked together to get things going again.

After one hurricane on the coast - we were without power for two weeks and felt lucky - after Katrina it was 4-6 weeks. Maybe it's human nature but seems those who have lost the least complain the most after natural disasters.

The complainers are usually the ones that are very spoiled, the thought of losing T.V and A/C is the end of the world to them. lol Makes for good news ratings. JCP&L part of

First Energy who serves several states got a Billion for Infrastructure improvements after Super Storm Sandy. They have a lot more complaints then Public Service Electric & Gas.

2 weeks without power hope you had access to a generator. Long time without power. Throwing food out is a shame hate to see so much go to waste.

Were you out for a day or two ?

Hope they get that fixed for you. Hope you have enough power to at least get your phones charged and to cool the house.

On another note, they showed a block in Connecticut where the power is out. The people are sitting in the middle of the street on Lawn Chairs. Guess a lot of trees are blocking the roads and they figure their is not much else to do. Other than have a neighborhood get together.

we drove back in it ... pretty insane driving conditions for sure (wife took attached picture) .... we were fortunate to only lose power for a day and that, aside from fallen trees here and there, our neighborhood came out of it ok!
