Electronic Drums
I have a hankering to play again for fun and fitness now that I'm retired but living in a small rental, the only solution is to buy electronic drums so I can plug in headphones or run them through a small amp and speaker at low volume.
I am prepared to pay up to $1,500 for a kit but the choice is daunting, you can get them for as little as $300.00. I know that the snare (and toms) can be bigger the more you pay and you also get 2 hit zones on it and that may apply to the toms as well. So its down to the durability, construction and quality of the sounds triggered and the amount of them. I see that Mesh heads are the way to go.
Anyone ever possessed a kit and can offer some insights?

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?
