Alright, it was only a beer commercial but perhaps the couples you saw where real? Faced with what you saw, would you have sat in the only two seats available or left feeling intimidated?

    That was interesting and I had to think about it.


    I would have sat down - because leaving would have been obvious and cowardly and rude.
    (and I would have had a great time, too)

    However, if it was a more 'normal' appearing crowd I would have left because it was too crowded.

    This is one of your best experiments.


    If I were alone, I would sit down...after chuckling to myself.

    But if Cheryl were with me, I would ask her if she was comfortable. We would leave if there was any hesitation.

    In fact, I asked her to see the video, and she said she would want to leave.

    I know I wouldn't complain to the manager. It's my choice to leave. My responsibility.

    If I saw that they were carrying guns, I'd leave. But heavily tattooed men? An audience of only men? I think I'd start laughing.

    My absolute first thought would be wondering why the movie we were going to see would attract only this crowd.

    When I was in my 20s, many of my friends (and their friends) looked like this. When I was selling in people's homes, I enjoyed talking to bikers and guys that looked like this.

    I used to go to a gym where everyone looked like this. A great bunch of guys.

    It was about what the people looked like?

    Shooot, I'm from the city, if it doesn't look like that thirty minutes
    before the trailers start then its a good bet the movie sucks.

      It was a double bill and they all left when Quadrophenia started playing.

      Ah, not everybody has seen Quadrophenia eh? It is based on a rock opera penned by the Who group, it is about a character who rides with a Motor "Scooter" gang in a seaside town in the UK. No self respecting American biker would ride a Scooter. There, I had to explain my quip to you Americans.

    A hard looking biker called Billy Joe was riding down the highway. suddenly his bike slowed down and ground to a halt.

    The Lord spoke to him. He said: Billy Joe, I know you look hard but I also know you to be one of the most kindest and gentlest of men on the planet, for that, I grant you one wish.

    Billy Jo thought about it for a minute and said: I would like you to build a bridge out from mainland USA to Hawaii so I can ride out there sometimes.

    The Lord said, that's a bit materialistic and just think how many resources of the Earth it would take, all that steel and concrete to build supports to place in the deep pacific. I could do it but can you not think of another wish.

    Billy Jo said, alright, I'd really like to understand my wife, why she thinks the way she does, why she picks fights, gives me the silent treatment, gets upset for no reason, does not see things in a logical way like most men do, gets over emotional. I want to know women.

    And the Lord said unto Billy Jo: Would that be a two or four lane highway you want on that bridge
