What's the must-watch stuff in the countdown of the best series, documentaries and movies to watch on Prime, Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Starz, Hulu, and ESPN+?

    None.

But for me, presently living in Nazi Germany, l have subscribed to Paramount, since it has all seasons of Survivor, (the US ones, and not the crap Au ones).

Up to season three of the odd 22, seasons that l have missed, and even though The shows host, won awards for presentation, he was a bit of a mess the first season.

Or good to see how a great concept, with little funding, gets polished over time.

You silly! It doesn't start getting good until *16* minutes!!!! There are a couple of small problems, but I liked it.

There is no good reason. It is "bad" but not that bad to offend.
Some bad movies are watchable. This is a watchable bad series.

Personally, I really enjoyed watching Squid Game because of the level of suspense you get in it is wild.

I think they have already announced something about the release of the season 2 of the series and I simply can't wait to watch. Although, I can't think of the narrative they are going to take now.

I watched the Netflix Dave Chappelle comedy last night - just to see what all the fuss was about. It was pretty good.

Now that I have all the time in the world to watch TV - I find I watch it less than I ever did. Go figure.

After trying it and not buying a while back - I've now subscribed to Disc+ because of a few of the home/cooking shows. I sprung a few more bucks for 'no commercials' and love that! Only takes about 42 minutes to watch a one hr show

I tried to watch Squid Game

I saw an article about that show today - seems to be one of those shows that generates enough controversy to attract attention..and viewers. Not interested enough to even try to watch it.

I watched a few minutes of Squid Game with family - arrgh....they didn't like it, either.

I have low end tastes in comedy.... I LOVE Jeff Dunham and his puppets...I think the guy is brilliant.

A family favorite years ago was Gallagher clips..used to laugh out loud at him. In his later years he got unfunny - too scripted.

I like comedy that makes me view things a different way or laugh out loud. So many so-called comedians these days are 'sending a message' and making fun of people and talk like they invented the f-word. Not funny.

On TV been watching la Brea and Ghosts and The Equalizer....

On the subject of entertainment - there's a new Jack Reacher novel out....just got it, haven't read it yet.

Even though I'm a little liberal in my thinking, I can't stand movies with a "message" or comedians with a "Message". My sole criteria for comedy is if it's funny. Nothing else matters to me. For example Louis CK is about as good as it gets. Dave Chappelle is about as good as it gets.

Different shows appeal to a variety of audiences. I find that I have my favourite TV/streaming shows. I'm a massive Dr Who and Star Trek fan in all different versions.
As for movies, sometimes I want a good laugh and other times I prefer action, thriller or sci-fi.

I have been collating a list of all the streaming channels we get here in Australia and what I like that's on each. Then I might subscribe to some for a month and binge watch certain things. Save money that way.

What you started out with the first episode, with the old guy, black and white and the story revolving around flying, man like bees.

I watched them all up to the modern ones, but went off the series, after two, (of the doctors companions) got locked into the Weeping Statue hotel forever.

I read an article recently about how families were finding smart ways to cut back on expenses - that advised doing just that. Most of the streaming apps have all the seasons of their shows available. The author suggested joining an app for 2 months and watching all the episodes of your favorite shows - and then closing that acct and moving to a different app for a couple months.

We have a big cable choice here so the only paid service I've joined is Discover+ . I don't watch it that much but enough to justify the low cost (under $10 and with no ads).

Money Heist is also worth to watch, final season was released . You can also see Orthodox miniseries and enjoy with it.

The first three Star Wars movies invented the genre and it required a lot of effort to get special effects to look convincing at the time, pre CGI. You saw SFX for the first time and were awed by it. Your affiliation is one of pure nostalgia. Dr Sigmund Analyzer.

To be noted, later Star Wars films with CGI were certainly no better than other SFX movies. The craving for it and nostalgia propped it up for a while but they seemed bland and mundane compared with the first three.

I also saw it in 77, with a friend, who was late so l missed the start, but that is ok, l caught it the other 7 times.

And no doubt you wouldn't have been bored when Jurassic Park came out in the 80's, since the technology was barely made available before Spielberg ran with it,

Before then the best we had was stop motion, or a puppet.

    Must watch TV. ?????

I wonder how many Warriors watch TV instead of working on their businesses? Is this watching reserved for those who have "made it" or don't need/want to work?

Is it all escapism or are there lessons to be learned by watching some shows (other than how to, as in baking shows and cooking)...but entertainment? How much is needed and what do you think the avg. Warrior gets from TV?

I just don't understand it. Am I odd man out?

If I had to or was expected to work all the time, I'd just throw a rope around a rafter and end it all.

Watching a show or a movie is my downtime; when I let my brain relax. It keeps my brain fresh.

We all have our own hobbies and, provided they don't negatively affect your life or that of someone else, they are all equally valid.

Shane spends most of his free time in coffee shops chasing down Martian bunnies. Kay rides horses. Mark is currently perfecting his crumpet recipe. Robert makes videos scaring random children by wearing presidential masks. Claude explores the adult baby fetish scene. I watch The Witcher. To each their own.

I agree that the term "must watch" is a little OTT, but it needn't be an either/or choice. In fact, working constantly on your business is often more of a distraction activity.

We all need to do things, on occasion, simply for the sake of doing them, with no thoughts of productivity or future pay-off in mind.

I can only speak for myself.

Nobody works all the time. Even people who say they work all the time don't.

I suppose the TV is on a few hours a night. I'll take a few minutes and see if there is anything I want to record. Mostly mysteries from the 1930s and 1940s.

A few science fiction movies (mostly in Black and White). I just enjoy them. I also watch several cartoons like Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, Rick and Morty, maybe reruns of Archer and Futurama. Their humor is a perfect match for mine.

What do I watch to get something out of it? episodes of NOVA and a few science specials. The only shows I watch to learn anything are infomercials, televangelists, and guys that talk to the dead. You can learn an awful lot about how humans think by watching these things.

I watch a little MSNBC and FOX to study how one event can be seen in two completely different realities, and how the "hosts" twist stories. Again, a study in human behavior.

But if you are a marketer, a producing infomercial is like a college education in marketing. I also watch videos of highly successful platform salespeople. The pitch teaches me more than the product.

Maybe half the time the TV is on, I'm reading anyway, as is my wife. We're both avid readers. And half the time the TV is on, it's just music we listen to, as we read.

She reads murder mysteries. I read books on how to dispose of the body. We collaborate.

Although I think I understand why you said that, America has two conflicting political parties...

i disagree that this is really an American phenomenon.

We are just seeing it in more stark relief because we can see two different realities being played out on TV.

But the core of the thought, that humans use Straw Man arguments, arguing against a position the other person doesn't have....isn't a political or cultural phenomenon.

It's part of the structure of our brain. It's how we process information we don't already accept. It's how we intake an idea we don't already support.

It's a defensive mechanism, we change what the other person is saying, to make it easier for us to refute.

Are you saying that people in other countries don't do this?

If they don't, then that means that this mental process is instantly adopted when they move to the US, because it's universal here.

That would also mean that people who travel from the US to other countries instantly change the way they learn and communicate.

Of course, I'm assuming what you meant by your reply. And of course, I could have misunderstood what you meant.

But it isn't a human reaction to say that. The human reaction is to argue, and the backbone of nearly every argument is using the Straw Man. Otherwise it would just be learning. And we can't have that.

Added later; If you meant this purely as a reply to me watching two stations to see opposing realities...

It can be done with just one person on TV, or one TV station. It's called propaganda. And it works the same way, creating a reality that bypasses reality, to make your own position easier to defend.

But it isn't a human reaction to say that. The human reaction is to argue, and the backbone of nearly every argument is using the Straw Man. Otherwise it would just be learning. And we can't have that.
            Nearly every argument?

Sadly, you've painted yourself in an indefensible corner: you need show universality ( or close to it). I need only to find a few counterexamples (which I won't even do, because the burden of proof is on you).

Does citing two of the most biased TV stations in America (and people who talk to the dead) sound anywhere near close to universal to you?

                  I reread my post.

What you are doing is taking part of what I said, and creating a position to push against. And you are arguing with something I didn't say in the post you quoted.

                  You are arguing with yourself.

And like I mentioned before, this is classic Straw Man arguing.

I'll bow out of this , because it's impossible to win an argument someone else is having with themselves.

For 11 years we haven't had a TV by choice. During this time, my wife would watch some YT videos. I watch college football (when I can see it, my team only). I watch news clips mainly instead of the whole 30 minutes.

Recently I signed up for Netflix and Disney+ to see how it went. Still no TV but we can watch on mobiles and computers. I just cancelled D+ this morning. This is not due to not liking their stuff but I've only watched maybe an hour of it the last 2 months. Now, my wife has caught on to the Netflix and she watches a little during the week for a break. I've watched several things but nothing in the last month probably due to deadlines.

So, I agree. None of it is must watch. But I do enjoy watching a few things here and there for a break.

I've thought about the TV thing. Like is not owning a TV a sign of being abnormal. But then I've read that many of the top guys in several areas of business don't have a TV or if they do, they never watch it.

For years I watched hardly any TV - daily news perhaps and 2-3 three favorite programs weekly.

I watch more now but programs have to be interesting or I'm surfing.

Just caught up with Paramount Plus 1883 - new series that I believe was meant to be 'before' the Yellowstone series. I REALLY like '1883' so far....tim mcgraw and faith hill are amazingly good...and I always love sam elliott. The show doesn't feel like a TV series - it feels like an ongoing movie. Very well done.

Years ago my mother worked with a very nice lady and her and her husband became friends with my parents.

They had a tv and watched it in the evenings. It came to around bedtime and they would switch it off.

It did not matter what they were watching, a show, gripping drama, film. It was never the case of wow, this is so exciting, we must find out how it ends (no recording devices back then) They simply said, well, that's enough tv for tonight, switched it off and went to bed.

Fascinating behavior. Ok, that's enough stimulation for one evening.

I can see that with shows like The Tonight Show. You watch until you get tired, and then switch it off.

A little different if there is a story. I'll do that if it's not a great movie.

I saw the movie last night The Gentlemen. It was riveting, funny, and complex. I stayed up about half an hour later than usual, because the movie was really engaging.

But if I was watching a sit-com? a game show? a variety show? (I never do), I would have turned it off.

Watched The Tender Bar on Amazon the other night. Pretty good, not great. The first half was definitely better. The last half falls off a little.

Here's a shocker, though: Ben Affleck was actually pretty good.

It's just the way we are built.

One person says something another doesn't completely agree with.

The response is, restating what was said, but changing it to make it easier to refute.

And it goes back and forth like that until someone gets angry.

It comes from a combination of not clearly understanding what was said, and imagining it was worse than what was meant.

Sometimes it actually begins by not liking the person making the statement, so everything said is interpreted in the worst possible way.

Nearly anything said to any person is interpreted as either support, or an attack. This is done unconsciously. We aren't aware that we do it.

It's why we laugh at bad jokes when they are told by a friend or loved one, and won't laugh, no matter how funny, if we don't like the person telling the joke.

Dan has a gift for insults. Deep, cutting, short insults that would make most people cry.

I love every second of it.

Seems that Claude is suffering from withdraw symptions, because of a lack of Superhero rehashes.

Can't beat a good old, "Alien comes to earth, to save on production costs, realizes that he/she has superpowers, and by a not that much of a shock, can fight off an evil Superperson, (while dating) and saves the Earth again, and gets married", and becomes rich, and runs for president, and rules the Earth, usual stuff".

I like most super hero movies because they are nostalgic, and I can watch them without using the rational part of my brain.

Super hero movies and well written cartoon shows allow me to not connect the dots, not see mistakes in logic or continuity. They don't need to follow the laws of physics, or be rational in any way.

But a very well written mystery? To me it's all cerebral. Especially in a well done movie.

Everything mentioned or shown is mentioned for a reason. Everything is a clue.

And the two Poirot movies (starring Kenneth Branagh) were excellent mystery movies.

After the movie, I asked Cheryl (who reads lots of mysteries) if she knew who "done it"?

She did, although she didn't follow all the clues. And I didn't know until the very end..

This is one of those mysteries where all the clues are there. Some are mentioned several times. And at the end of the movie, you wonder how you could have missed all those clues.

I have to admit that a murder mystery is like a crossword that l have to do for a treat.

Might have something to do with my country going bat-shit crazy?

But music from the past is what l am into, since it reminds me of simpler, saner times.

Not listed above the History Chanel did a 3 night series on Abraham Lincoln. If anyone is into US History is well worth the watch. Learned a few things about Lincoln that I never knew. Probably be streaming the show this month. In May on Memorial Day they are doing a show on Theodore Roosevelt.

The Batman will be on HBO+ soon. But for now, I'll watch it at the theater. It is opening to almost universal acclaim.

I've always thought it was odd to try to make Batman a super hero...grouping him with Superman and Wonder Woman.

He's an obsessed vigilante. This new movie plays it like that. I can't wait to see it.

It's interesting to me that, starting with The Phantom, comic books heroes started wearing skin tight costumes with capes, masks, and secret identities.

Before that, most comic book (and before them the Pulps) heroes were just skilled men (usually) wearing a trench coat.....maybe with a domino mask around the eyes...and a hat. They were called Mystery Men. Mostly detectives, with a catchy name.

By the way, did you know there are really about 50 people in the US that run around in costumes, who think they are real super heroes?

I've read a few books about this group. A few just feed the homeless. a few just like running around in a costume, getting their picture taken. But to several, this is real.

These guys are not cosplayers. They don't go to conventions. To them, this isn't pretend. They really take it seriously.

I can't believe we haven't read a story about one of them getting shot or killed. My strong hunch is that, no matter how much you run around at night...you'll almost ever run into a crime in progress. One of the 1,000 reasons that super heroes are a silly concept.

Yes it's always been an issue with people like Batman. He tried police band radio but realized that the police would be there first. Getting up on high rise buildings looked cool but his binoculars could not see round corners, through buildings, or pick up criminal intent audio. That's why he concentrates on villains who are also into Cosplay, challenge him with cryptic messages or Commissioner Gordon with his giant Bat-lamp.

Batman is a detective in garb. A crime is committed first by a Criminal Cosplayer and then he tracks them down after the fact. Of course the Cosplayer Criminal committing a second crime and sending Batman blatantly obvious riddles about it beforehand makes the Caped Crusaders life a lot easier.

Episode one, is only available on Hulu, but no doubt it is available for rental or for sale.

Just finished Season 1 of "Lincoln Lawyer".

Really good as it details the life of fictional character, attorney Mickey Haller, as the underdog who pulls himself out of drug addiction and back into the courtroom.

He inherits a whole law firm from a fellow colleague who was shot to death. And Haller practices his law from the back seat of a Lincoln Continental.

Not as riveting as a Breaking Bad but still pretty compelling.

I give it a solid 8.5 out of 10 stars.

Yeah the last 4 episodes were good but not quite as good as the first four. And the ending was somewhat weird.

I rescind my original ranking and give Devil in Ohio 9 out of 10 stars. I hope this does not persuade anyone here who is half interested not to watch it. Make no mistake it is still a really well done short series!

And now they make a mini series on netflix and it is like the no. 1 rated show.

Same old same old. Nothing here to write about that a movie cannot cover. Over kill, imho.

Eddie Redmayne does a superb job of playing his character. And Jessica Chastain also is amazing as the nurse who helped put him away.

Watched Keith Richards Docu on Netflix as well as Miles Davis.

Both were really good. Keith Richards is quite the walking smoke stack/watering hole; nothing new. But one thing he has going for him he seemed like he has a big heart and dearly loves his family.

Miles Davis on the other hand was arrogant, ornery, self-destructive, and just a most unfriendly human being. But they say that's what made him such a great artist in that he put all that angst in his music. Too bad he treated the ones he loved/who loved him like crap at times.

9 out of 10 stars for both documentaries

    Reacher on Amazon Prime.

As a "Reacher Creature", I'll say this: the show is good, but not perfect. I find they play Reacher a little Autistic. If not Autistic, then definitely on the spectrum. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just not who the character is. There's a specific way the character's brain works and it's difficult to demonstrate without the literary devices available in fiction. However, I think they could've done a better job.

That said, the character is represented infinitely better by Alan Ritchson than Tom Cruise.

If you haven't read the books, you won't be bothered by the above. You can just settle in for some relatively mindless fun. Think of it as the television equivalent of one of Claude's books.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just not who the character is. One of my favorite shows.

The cartoons written for adults (starting with The Flintstones back in the 1960s), and incredibly well written.

      Archer
      Family Guy
      Bob's Burgers
      Futurama
      South Park
      Rick and Morty

And to a lesser extent (in my opinion)
      The Simpsons.

To be fair, these shows require a certain type of humor to be appreciated.

For me, I don't think they would be funny if they were live action.

I have been getting into 'Big City Greens' with my youngest daughter. It's a real hoot, silly but fun.

It centers around a country family who moved their shack with farm animals in the middle of a downtown metropolis.

Haven't got to the end yet so hopefully they know how to conclude such an intriguing story without ruining it lol. I find with that type of genre sometimes they have made such a compelling story they don't know how to end it without flopping the whole thing.

I got rid of my subscription to Netflix, likewise I dropped my payments to Google TV. I hardly ever watched them. That represents quite a saving, especially as I had a top tier one to Netflix and added three movie channels to Google tv. I watch the free channels that Nvidia tv provides, Pluto TV, and more recently. Local Now. All free and supported by advertising.

I also watch a lot of You-Tube stuff on my big screen smart tv. I have considered paying 11.99 per month to get rid of the adverts but it does not bother me enough so far.

Not bad, a lot of entertainment for free. I still subscribe to Amazon Prime but that's mainly for the free deliveries. Then of course theirs Kodi with it's free apps that scour the net for movie streams.

No, it does not do that, you go to You-Tube via a browser you still get the adverts. If you use Chrome like many do and are logged in, and pay 11.99 per month, then it blocks the ad's. There is not any other browser that can do it for free.

I was always fascinated by the fact that one person sees something one way, and another sees the exact same thing in a completely different way.

For example, true crime specials hold no interest to me. And my wife reads murder mysteries every day. I was never interested in them at all.

I can't stand the taste of butterscotch. That doesn't make the people who love the taste of butterscotch wrong. It's like that with movies, books, comedy....

We all have our own tastes. That doesn't make anyone right, wrong, smart, or bad.

I don't find this so surprising. My wife was a professional child ballerina. Several years ago, a show about the subject called "Bunheads" came out. I figured my wife would want to watch it, but she didn't. When asked about it, she said, "I lived it. Why would I want to watch it?"

I assume it's the same for Claude.

Violence is mindless. It never appealed to me. I never understood getting into fights, or wanting to hurt someone else.

Even practical jokes. I never understood the appeal.

The only reason I was ever interested in psychopathy, is an interest in the thinking process, the lack of empathy. The world view.

But I've seen a few documentaries about psychopaths. These are broken men (usually), with a stunted frontal cortex. Their violence comes from poor impulse control (Or so I've read)

The only psychopath I ever identified with in fiction is Lorne Malvo on True Detective. He had an interesting world view.

When my wife is watching a murder mystery, We'll both spot clues in the show. It's not that we really know anything about crime....it's because after you have seen 1,000 murder mysteries, you know how to spot the obligatory clues and misdirection's. So it's really the writing formulas that we are figuring out, not a real mystery.

Cheryl is much better at it than I am.

Claude - that one's on my list to watch soon. Sounded good.

A show I enjoyed was Ghosts and it won't be on again for months due to the strikes. However, the original "Ghosts" sitcom in the UK is now available on Paramount+ and I'm going to check it out.

I've watched more on Paramount+ than I have on Netflix in recent months. Also, have watched more on Amazon Prime than on Netflix. Over $20/month now for netflix and not worth it to me - but family watches it so I keep it going.

Claude this is right up your alley...
Nightstalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer.
        It's a 4 episode series on Netflix.

I just watched the first episode today. And it was riveting. Claude ( like myself) , you probably know the story of Richie Ramirez but this series is from the point of view of the detectives who cracked the case.

Gets into details concerning the case and in depth commentary from the detectives involved. Really fascinating ( at least the first episode)

I give it a 10/10 so far. And Claude this guy was a true evil maniac. The horrific things he did to the elderly and children were totally unfathomable

Netflix WWII series "From the Frontlines " is one of the best docuseries I have seen of its kind.

Just sensational and they remastered the old clips with color. Must see

Iam in the middle of watching Adam Sandler's new movie, "Spaceman"' , on Netflix.

This had to be one of the most ridiculous movies I have ever seen. Sandler is a Czech astronaut who runs into this stupid looking alien giant spider on his space ship. The spider looks exactly like the one on Giligans island. Seriously!!!

And the movie is centering around Sandler and this giant alien spider having philosophical discussions about Life.

Two thumbs down for this monstrosity of a movie

Just finished watching on Netflix, "Reptile", with Benicio Del Toro and Justin Timberlake. For a fictional police crime thriller ( which I usually do not get into) it was very well done.

For this genre one of the best I have ever seen ,and I give it two thumbs up.

      Watched Emma Stone's Best Actress portrayal in the Movie, "Poor Things". We ended up turning it off after 20 minutes. One of the worst 20 minutes of my Life viewing a movie;

It was a horrendous flick that had touches of light pornography in it and just a plain train wreck of a movie.

It's unbelievable she would take on a role like this

I bet you nearly covered your eyes on a number of occasions. Let me ask you though? You have reported walking out of or turning off movies on a number of occasions. So why do you think that movies can be so universally critically acclaimed yet, in your opinion are actually train wreaks as you say or just bad? Is it just that the movies subject matter does not appeal to your tastes, sensibilities or moral standards?

I, myself tend to gravitate to movies that have aliens, supernatural events, super hero's and time travel etc, that sort of stuff. I want to be awestruck.

But, when I have sat, or been asked to sit by others in front of movies that are critically acclaimed, I usually had to admit to myself, and others, that it was a good movie, well acted, good story etc, despite it not being subject matter that usually appeals to me.

And about the actress, Many actors and actresses like to take roles that are diverse and challenging to themselves as they don't like to be stereotyped. Perhaps that's another reason, You liked Emma Stone in specific type roles only.

I must admit to myself, as you get older, my patience wears thin on many movies, thinking, oh why don't they just get to the point already. Perhaps it's an age thing, lol.

          Or are you chicken ??

Btw, I view many movies and have liked many movies that are morally depraved or have questionable undertones of violence and strong sexuality in them. Iam very liberal minded when it comes to that kind of stuff

I watched it and thought it was really inventive.

We all see movies (and life) through a different lens.

The nudity and debauchery didn't bother me. I thought Emma Stone going from mindless baby to sophisticated brilliant adult was really well done. Mark Ruffalo was amazing...watching his transition from a smart lawyer to a degenerate gambler was entertaining.

        Cheryl liked it less.

The Three Body Problem on Netflix (I think) was exceptional.

We watched Road House with Jake Gyllenhaal. Everything he is in is good, in my opinion.

At Easter dinner with Cheryl's relatives, they talked about Road House. My brother-in-law insisted that Jake Gyllenhaal was a UFC fighter in real life. I thought he was joking.

I made the mistake of telling him that it wasn't true. Everyone else at the table then agreed that they too....heard that Gyllenhaal was a real UFC fighter.

Then I realized the personal dynamics at play, and just let it go.

His wife actually did a Google search on her phone, and found an article with the headline saying something about "Jake Gyllenhaal is at UFC 285".

I was going to mention how that meant they filmed a fight scene at the UFC event, a fake fight....but I stopped myself because I understood the dynamics of what was happening.

Arguments aren't fun for me when I really care about the person. One way to guarantee a bad time is to prove someone wrong.

And sometimes, when the relationship is everything, like with my wife and a few of her family...the facts matter much less.

With most of my friendships, a healthy argument (or a quick "Google it") does no damage.

But with relatives? Arguments cause tempers to flair, and damage is done. Sometimes it's irreparable.

Conversely, it's pretty hard to have a relationship with someone who would be irreparably damaged by a disagreement about such trivial matters.

"Jim, buddy, I think you're wrong. I'm pretty sure Barney was a purple dinosaur, not a green aligator."

Interesting band the Beach Boys. Great songs in the 60's, some real classics and Brian Wilson was a great songwriter. Also, they innovated with new recording techniques, became experimental like the Beatles.

Only one thing though, they really had to come to an end because they never were able to truly transform away from the "Beach Boys Sound". Something that was popular in the 60's and also done by other bands, but ended. I can compare them a little with the Bee Gees. Good songs, great vocal talent, but they were able to move on by incorporating disco music into their songs that were still good.

Bowie was someone who morphed a lot, and for a long time he was still revered as the songs were still good. But then he lost his way for a long time, quality of the songs nosedived and he spent all his time experimenting with "the sound". Pity. His second from last album, The Next Day was a return to form and showed he was still capable of producing good songs when he put his mind to it.

Just finished The Night Agent on Netflix. It's pretty good; kinda like a Jack Bauer-ish origin story.

Three Pines with Alfred Molina on Amazon is really good, too. It's a bit like a modern Hercule Poirot set in small town Canada.

I've been running out of stuff to watch but my go 2 is Amazon Prime. Last good series I watched was Zero Zero Zero.

  • I never post in a thread without reading it all first. Until now. This sucker is long so forgive me. Have any of you watched foreign made films in foreign languages on Netflix?

Besides Squid Game, I've ignored them even though some come highly recommended. Then, I discovered that you could change the audio language to English. I've had some extra down time the last couple of months, so I watched a few and besides one series, the subtitles and English were good.

Watched the movie, "Marsh King's Daughter ". A solid thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

      9 out of 10 stars

How can it be a solid drama when it's about a "Marsh" King?

Admit it, you had a sinking feeling I'd say that.

Its not only one streaming service whats some money, but mostly you have also other streaming sites or apps or whatever. That together makes it expensive.

However i have netflix, HBO, Disney, viaplay and New Faith Network. Probebly i stop with viaplay.

I should wish that there is a possibility top have everything for example 30 euro, and that the compagnies fight out what part of cake they get. But this shall not happen.
