Imagine having a virtual duplicate of yourself. Personality and appearance intact. Would you get along with yourself?

I suppose you could have yourself answering questions like Alexa does now with your own voice and sarcasm intact, or use someone else's personality.

Who would you choose as a replacement Alexa?

No thanks - the idea of a digital ME telling the real ME what to change, etc....does not appeal.

What happens when you die - does the fake you keep going?

I talk to myself anyway - if I could also answer, I'd just get into an argument with me.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

If it had my exact knowledge and personality, I suppose it would be interesting to talk to....like talking to a twin on the phone.

I talk to myself now, working out problems and strategies...usually when driving alone. I guess this would be like that.

I actually kind of like my own voice, but my real personality would be hard to take for any length of time.

There is already AI software now that you can type into, and it will read it back to you in your own voice. It's used to edit speeches, and occasionally to edit movies. It's uncanny how much it sounds like you. Same cadence, tone, volume, pronunciation.

      "I talk to myself now"

You have been doing that on this forum for years.

Yes, interesting to have an argument with yourself if evenly matched, who would win, or you would most likely reach the same conclusion.

I have been using Blue Mountain's e-card's for some time now. My favorite is some animated cards where you type your message out, inserting comma's and punctuation and then you have it spoken by the animated cartoon using one of 5 voices. I did a Mona Lisa one the other day. Of course the voice was female, called Mona. Only a step away from using your voice but unless your a good orator, would you want to do that?.

Here's the result. Press the play symbol.

      You are welcome.

The first most popular uses of this will be some kind of sex fetish / pornography type application. Combine the digital twin with a life like sex doll that matches the female. And you probably won't even need robotics involved. Beyond a robot hand.

The other use will be in video games and piracy or at least more advanced forms of identity theft.

Web technology has been pushed forward at the start in porn piracy and video games. The early adopters of Bitcoin where up pirates who got there start in the black market world of trading video game currency and items.

So imagine more someone creating a digital twin of you and using it to steal as much of your money as possible
