I just got this offer. And I think it may be a pretty good deal. What is everyone else paying for it here ??

For what period of time? Does the offer come straight from Amazon? Is that an intro price?
It is a REALLY good price - which is why I'd make sure it's a valid offer.

I paid $130 in May to renew for a year- $10 over last year which was $10 over the year before that. It pays for itself with free shipping as we have three people in the household who all buy quite a bit through amazon.

About the same for me. It includes free shipping on most items, and Amazon Prime is included. I also get lots of e-books for free.

I would be very wary of that offer as what I pay (yearly) is the same as Kay's bill. You would pay more if doing it monthly I would have thought. I would only consider it if it came definitely from Amazon itself, and make sure is not a deal, only if you sign up with some of their other services.

That is a legitimate offer, but you need to be receiving some type of government assistance to get it:

    https://www.amazon.com/58f8026f-0658...%20per%20month.

There are other programs for those on gov't assistance also...free phone...Spectrum will also let you get cable for $19 a month. There were people discussing this in a local FB group recently. Good programs if you need the help, but you do have to qualify by receiving food stamps, Medicaid, met housing, etc.

Never mind. They sent me this offer for some reason but I reread it and like you say you have to be getting food stamps or Medicaid or Social Security Supplemental income and other govt assistance etc.... of which I do not get.

Oh well I thought it was too good to be true

I paid about $11 a month, (taking into account drop bear clauses and such).

And as was almost shown here, l figured out how to kill the subscription.

One other thing I didn't mention...

if you're a senior citizen and get social security you also qualify for the $6.99.

I don't think you're that age from what I've gathered.

Not sure what age is actually considered a senior citizen, I remember when I started getting stuff from AARP I started feeling old. I'm 62 now so I guess most consider me old.

I got all excited until I discovered that Social Security is different from Social Security Supplemental income. I honestly didn't know the difference.

But even at $14 a month, I save more than that in shipping.

    Chest or medal?

Since Prime is 14.99 a month - was that some time ago? We are paying about $250/yr for netflix - for streaming movies, etc. $130/yr for prime - with next day delivery, free shipping, great prices, plus prime music, movies and original shows.

    We're thinking of dropping netflix....

14.99! It costs about $7 in Australia per month, (well, actually $6.99 even though we don't have what you would call a penny, in this country, so it is rounded to the nearest whole number).

The Disney channel is great, (especially if you are Pixar fan) but after you watch Walt's rise to fame, and how he build Disneyland, the rest will probably show up on free to air, etc.

The streaming channels i use most are Amazon movies and PARAMOUNT+. Had Discovery + and no one used it so cancelled....had Disney long enough to watch the Nat Geographic specials on there...then cancelled it.

    I paid about $11 a month
    is what confused me.

Wonder why Prime is so cheap in Aussieland? On annual basis, about 1/3 what we pay in the US. Interesting.

Um, l signed up about a year ago, but only for one item, then tried to cancel the subscription but couldn't find the hidden pop up, so unsubscribed, (didn't pay anything per month) but still got the order every 6 months, since l had my Amazon AU account.

So no subscription cost, and no access to anything but l still had to get the order every 6 months, til recently if that makes it clearer.

And l checked $7 per month with no strings in AU, (probably because people are getting sick of Netflix and their heavy handed approach to multiple devices issues).

Yeah, l am on Paramount as well, but only for Survivor US.

In the UK the cost of Amazon Prime is just about to increase from £6.99GBP to £7.99GBP per month. Even with current Sterling to USDollar exchange rates, that's still quite a bit cheaper here.
