It will have a stand alone bathtub ( my wife's dream lol) and a walk in shower with totally new floor and vanities and walls.

Looking forward to it. But they are so backed up so it will not be done till January 2023.

Anyone else out there getting home improvements done ??

Let's hear it...

I dont have any being done... But I have a crew that does them... we are working on a 6 digit remodel right now that is converting a 2nd bedroom into an expanded walkin closet, and overall enlarging the master bath. Free standing tub, walk in shower with 12 jets ( I believe ) and a full on custom closet with LED bars in all of the hanging spaces. Built in cabinets, 2 islands and a wet bar - yes a wet bar in the closet.

So maybe if I explain some of this it will make more sense? or well I hope it does? maybe?

I run a agency that specializes in localized small business' Started with websites and SEO a whole lot of years ago. As time passed my needs for say vinyl on my vehicles or large format printing or office renovations or learning how to convert better ( CRO ) and printing and the list carries on... If my business needed these things, then so did others.

There simply comes a breaking point where subing this stuff out is no longer a financial option.. its just easier ( cheaper ) to hire in house to do these things. Once you hire someone... your in it to win it right and you have to find that skill work.

So in relation to construction... I subed and subed to the point that it made more sense to start hiring guys.. got into real estate stuff and transitioned that to design and construction of store fronts and interiors - had to keep the guy to guys busy - while focussing on my Companies "Vision Statement" of helping grow local business'.

Now? maybe? my skill set reach makes more sense? Im just a redneck with a MIT degree and some basic skill with a propensity to self educate my tail off.

I wouldnt even call myself "motivated", im HAPPY... I enjoy anything and everything I do.. and if i dont enjoy it..guess what? I dont do it - I sub that out - like drywall.. dont touch the stuff.

Dan's wife has been pestering him to upgrade his mancave but he refuses to raise the bar.

So, your not a DIY man Robert? How much will it cost (said Mr Nosey) Did the management (wife) cajole you into doing this?

Heck no, Mark. I am about as furthest as you can get from being a DIY man lol.

Well, I did not want to disclose that but in the mid 5 digits.

Yes, wifey was very adamant about upgrading this dated bathroom

I am more concerned with the fact that you are not hunting Fluffy bunnies anymore.

After a lot of effort I finally wiped those pests from the face of the planet. It's the Riffle Hares I'm going after next. More difficult to dispose of, impervious to bullets. You have to go right up to them and punch them.

Nonsense, l saw one in Jurassic Park Dominion, so your work here is undone!

And l may change mine to "Kitty at my foot and I wanna touch it" but that depends on whether someone here actually has rights to that lyric. I cannot name the culprit for legal, ethical and on the grounds of insanity!

Have you forgotten, they are only indigenous to Mars. You must be mistaking it for the common Fluffy Wuffy Bunny that still survives on Earth to this day, though the huge fangs are less pronounced.

I've been lurking around on this thread for a couple of days now.
Fact: I love the DIY reality remodeling shows think Chip and JoAnn Gaines.
Drew and Jonathan Scott Property Brothers.

I said all that to let you know I just checked out a book from the library
"The Home-Wreckers" author Mary Kay Andrews. She is a southern
lady and hails from Atlanta, Georgia. Very nice looking old broad. (Sorry bout that)

I've been a busy bee this morning and just finished a short article on
    "Home Improvement"

If you want to grab this go ahead no strings attached.

The term home improvement can be defined as any kind of work done to improve or modify the condition of a house. It can be done by the owner of the house, his family members, or it can be done by contractors hired by the owner. There are many types of home improvements that can be done. They include painting, fixing leaky roofs, adding new doors and windows, replacing old appliances, remodeling bathrooms, and improving the overall appearance of the house. Some people also hire contractors to do the above mentioned tasks for them. Home improvement can be very expensive. Hence, it is advisable to find out how much you need to spend before you start the work.

Before starting the work, it is important to know what type of home improvement you want to do. You should also decide on the amount of money you have available to spend. This will help you in deciding on the type of home improvement to be done. If you have limited funds, you may consider doing small jobs instead of large ones.

If you are not aware of the right way to go about your home improvement project, you can seek help from experts who have a lot of experience in this field. You can also visit websites that provide information on various home improvement projects. This will enable you to make an informed decisions regarding the project.
Have a great day guys and gals. You too Robert.

    think Chip and JoAnn Gaines

I have a family member who has been working at the Magnolia Bakery for quite some time (part time as she is in college)....

She said both of the Gaines' are just are real with employees as they are on TV....said they are truly nice people. I like Jo's new food show on the Magnoia Network....very well done and fun to watch.
