Hi, I can't figure out how to thank people!!!
I keep seeing "click thank button bottom right" but I can't see it.
What's going on?

You have to have about six posts or so before the "Thanks" button appears below each post.

You'll get there, then just go back and thank those that have helped you or you feel provided good advice.

That's kind-a weird, but thanks - now I know - been all over this site - gee! Would be great to have under FAQ's "when you can say "thank you". LOL

Thank you all esp D. Hanson. I finally found this thread. None of this "how to thank" was in FAQ

I was looking through all the FAQ's as well for this information. I am glad that you asked in order for us all to learn. I have been learning a lot the past month here. I Have finally begun to put together information that I have and started to get some things going for myself. It is even beginning to pay off slowly but surely. Since I am unable to say thanks officially yet, let me at least say thanks to you for asking the question here!

I totally agree. Did the same thing myself.

And why would you have to have "x" number of posts to thank someone?? If you're new, like me, you're bound to be helped right off the bat and it seems like that is the best thing you could do straight away is to thank those who've provided helpful information. Seems like you'd get started on the right foot. Maybe someone more seasoned can explain why it isn't a good idea for a newbie to be able to thank other warriors.

When I joined I was able to thank someone the first day, then the button went away. After about 10 or 15 posts it came back. Then I was away from the forum for a couple of months and the button was gone. I made a post and it came back. There may be changing rules or the button is either capricious or schizophrenic.

          Just two little questions...
          1.) 150 pm's a day, ha! You wish!:p

2.) does bloomin mean they start out as buds and then gradually open up to be beautiful with lots of colors and have a sweet smelling aroma that attracts many just for the beauty and sweet fragrance?

You shouldn't see the infraction button on your own posts, if that's what you mean. You wouldn't need it because you're not likely to give yourself an infraction... or would you?

Your posts in certain sections of the forum do not count toward your post count total. Such as the Off Topic section. So no matter how many times you post here it won't show up.

I don't know the details, but as I understand it, you can't thank ANYONE until you get a certain number of posts. THEN, the number of people you can thank in a certain time goes up with the post count. Even ****I**** have hit the limit a couple times. I think I might be like the 5th highest post count, so I think EVERYONE has a limit. But I think it is timed. After a certain period of time, you can thank more people.

I reached this thread by Googling, too.

But isn't it counter-intuitive, in a typically nerd-programmer way, that people are disallowed thanking until they've had their say? Extreme liberalism? "1984" gone wonky?

Because, logically, it would be the newbies who would be feeling grateful upon reading some pertinent piece of information and would want to express their gratitude... to not permit them to do so upon the condition that they haven't yet expressed themselves sufficient number of times, is perplexing beyond rationale.

Secondly, the feeling of gratitude needs expression as soon as it is felt. Human beings, at-least, are unable to maintain a historical record of such feelings for expression at a later (more appropriate?) time. Why force such unemotional behaviour, especially when saying thanks is positive, not a negative expression which may require repression to maintain social peace.

If they know how to type and know how to spell thank you, I'm sure they can express gratitude quite nicely.

        Wouldn't you agree?

After a long time searching I found this thread...... think it's a bit strange that they would want to restrict new members from showing their manners!

OK, I guess this thing with not allowing new members to thank someone is an incentive for them to post. But, new members read a lot to get familiar with the topics, ethics, behaviour, etc, and when we see those "Thanked X times" we want to thank too... and then we lose 30 minutes just to find out that this is not possible. And it's not even in the FAQ.

      Thanks!

The "thanks" is counted from all posts, but the post count isn't. Posts in the Off Topic forum or WSO forum do not contribute to your post count.

My understanding is that the black "Thanks" button will show up automatically at the bottom right corner of all posts as soon as you have more than 5 posts. Just push the "Thanks" button and your user name will show up in blue prints right below the post of your choice. Your post must be relevant. It has to consist of more than one short sentence and it must be placed in another sub-forum than the "Off Topic Forum" like this one. Posts in this forum won't count.

How to know which sub-forum you're on?
Look at the top of the page, you'll see something like this:

WarriorForum - Internet Marketing Forums > The Chat Room > The Off Topic Forum > How do I THANK someone?

      Hope this helps.
