You lazy good for nothing sitting on that thin strip of land in your "Condo", or should I say, clapped out RV. No casino's there. It must be really boring lazing about on those sandy beaches all day. I feel your suffering.

lol, you crack me up Mark. Seriously though it has been a job getting the "beach stuff" up and down and to the beach. Back and forth, enough to drive a guy to drinking

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

I bet balancing a Margarita on the sand, while texting us and watching out for sand flys taking a sip and adventurous ants is a full time job.

Many Happy Returns Robert. Ah, I remember 55, a long time ago. I felt a lot younger then.

Of course this calls for some birthday insults...

I am a bit worried that you will not be reading my birthday greetings as I heard a Murder Hornet crawled up your nose last night while you were sleeping and you went to the hospital to have it surgically removed. Pity, as its the one time you had a brain in your skull.

Your wife dropped a load of expensive crockery the other day and smashed it. She was cussing and you told her to be more philosophical and embrace her mistakes... She gave you a big hug.

And of course, here's your card. A close personal friend who I know you admire did this especially for you.....

Claude, I know you feel a little left out and you think nobody knows that today is a special day for you.

We didn't forget about you, big guy...

Honest to God, when I saw the Donnie Osmond card, I thought Mark paid him to do everything live. I thought it must have cost him several hundred dollars at least. I've seen services where celebrities will send a 3 minute video live for under $100. But nothing as great as this. And Shatner is about 90 years old, and looked too good.

Yours said Claudia. And then it hit me. That's as close to my name as you could get, and it was all computer generated. So I went on the website to see what was available.

One of the smartest, most original ways to promote yourself I've ever seen.

Dan knows my secret, the little Imp. I sent him a variant for his birthday where it just spoke what you typed in a voice of your choice from a small list. But, these were not celebrity voices. Made up ones, computer generated

In the Osmond and Shatner cards I actually think they said all the different names from the list you choose from and in the case of the ages in the Osmond one I expect they sat there and said them too. It would take a while, a few days work, but I expect they were well paid.

I say this because if it was computer generated then they would be able to have every single name or variant under the sun, not the case. The rest of the dialog and song was was probably done once with the recorded bits inserted. Very well done though.

I thought the same thing as well, Claude. But nonetheless still one of the neatest B-day gifts I have ever had

You have me thinking of beaches now - guess I need to plan a trip for this winter.

After living a block from the water for almost 20 years I find what I miss are the herons and the brown pelicans and the seagulls. Don't really miss the water as the waves there were negligible - but I do miss daily walks on the beach.
