Full body scan at dermatologist yesterday...
Melanoma runs on both sides of my family. And after much coaxing from my Uncle ( whose had 5 melanomas in the last couple of decades) I set an appt. for yesterday at my local dermatologist.
I was a little uncomfortable as she went through my scalp, face, neck, back, legs, arms, feet, between my toes etc...etc.. with a special magnifying glass with a light on it.
Iam happy to say no suspicious lesions or moles to be found. I will do this once every year to be on the safe side since I am out in the sun a lot.
I recommend it to most anyone who has a family history of melanoma or who is out in the sun a lot
