During my stay I was give glycemic meals to cater for my diabetes. At breakfast I got scrambled egg and beef or pork patties. oatmeal and fruit cup which was amazing mixed together. Other meals would be chicken salad sandwiches or meat and two veg. All of which was expertly cooked and seasoned. Quite a diverse range of stuff and you had a menu which was all day.

Very impressed. I wish they would open a restaurant nearby or provide ready meals at the supermarket.

What was your experience with food in hospitals?

When I had my hip surgeries back in 2016 and 2017 the hospital food was top notch.
    Really just excellent.

Glad you had a good experience as well, Mark

  • The hospitals here don't give you a menu or fancy things like that but generally the food is okay/good.

One of my first experiences in a hospital, one ran by a Buddhist organization, was that all the food was vegetarian. Surprisingly good. The fake meat even tasted pretty good. Too much tofu though. However, I had to have my meat fix and so my wife would bring me meat as a snack. I think I heard news recently that now they are not allowing meat to enter the hospital. Or maybe I dreamed that part but one of the organizations local universities strictly forbids meat from coming onto campus. So, I guess it's possible.

I have to admit l have never been hospitalized but did go to their cafeterias several times when l was ferrying my Mother to this and that when she had cancer. and can attest that it was ok, (cookies and such) but their sandwiches were outstanding.

Mark I can not tell a lie. Yes I can tell a lie. The food was AWESOME. Liar Liar Tails On Fire.

So sick the first couple of days I couldn't eat. Then when I got to where I could it was terrible. so I ask my family to smuggle in the good stuff for me.
