Done With Amazon Wholefood Delivery.

I'm done with Amazon food delivery. Via the Whole Foods store they purchased. I had a perfect record of on time deliveries for over two years. Last time though, despite our appt's being clearly labelled it was delivered to the one upstairs. The guy bought it down for me. Yesterday I had ordered over 200 bucks worth of food. The delivered notification came up so opened my door to take it in. Nothing. I called them and got a refund. Probably one bad apple delivery driver. But it has spoilt it for me. The driver includes a photo of it outside a door. It was just the lower part of a door though. No clues.

Two YEARS of on time, good delivery would make me a bit more patient....like you say, likely one bad delivery person.

Regular Amazon delivery also has its problems.

I had a package supposedly delivered and they showed a picture of a box sitting in front of a garage door. Just a small part of the door and nothing else.

The problem is our neighborhood is mostly very old historic homes, and secondly, my drive has big iron gates that open electronically. It took a few days to finally get Amazon to realize they had delivered to the wrong address. It also makes me wonder how someone got a delivery they never ordered and didn't report it.

I suggested that when they take a picture they take it from further away so it shows more of the whole house or garage and not just pretty much a close-up of the box that almost cuts out everything in the background.

I've yet to have a bad/wrong Amazon delivery but Fed Ex is a different story here - they put the packages at different doors....and all the photos, as you say, look alike. It's a treasure hunt to see if the 'delivered' pkg is on the front porch, or in front of one of the garage doors - or by the side door or....

The company is only as good as the people they hire....

      I agree.

I'm guessing if a driver gets a ton of complaints they will probably replace them or at least have a serious conversation with them about their future with the company if the mess-ups continue.

experience with Amazon food delivery, especially after maintaining a perfect record for over two years. It's frustrating when a single incident tarnishes the overall service. While it's likely that this issue was caused by one delivery driver, the impact on your trust is understandable. The use of a photo outside a door lacking identifiable features adds to the challenge of resolving such issues.
