Close Call In Conroe

We had a brief but very severe thunderstorm here in sunny Conroe just now (Tuesday 28th, afternoon) A tree close to my Unit must have been struck by lightning and and the top part of it crashed into one of the two AC units right outside my bedroom window. Really close call.

Fortunately it narrowly missed the window. The AC unit closer to my window was obviously mine and just has one branch laying on the top. The other one a few feet away got the brunt of the branches and is damaged. So, I still have AC and power.

Brings home to you your mortality and how close that was, and to respect the weather. Just a few feet closer!

      My parents and other family were in the middle of the big hurricane that hit Florida last year. They didn't have power for something like 3 weeks in the heat of summer. They were using generators (the first one broke) to just try to keep food safe and blow the fan every once in a while. It was a mess. Meanwhile, in Asia, our power went out for the afternoon, and I was about ready to sacrifice myself to the shark Gods. LOL I wouldn't have lasted if I were still in Florida during that storm
