Your Significant Others Age Difference

Would be interesting to hear.

Are they older or younger than you. And, how long have you been together?

Does the age difference cause any problems?

Just a "for no apparent reason" survey I am undertaking.

My last partner was about a year and a half younger than me, together for 15 years.

The one before that was 6 years younger than me, together for about 7 years.

My wife is 91 days older than me and I bring it up in conversation whenever possible. I especially love the three months where she hits a new decade before me.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Cheryl is 8 years older than I am. My first wife was 9 years older than me.

Nearly all my friends have been older than I am, for most of my adult life. No idea what it means.

Pretty sure it means people your own age don't like you, and older people feel sorry for you.

Nonsense. Younger people pity me as well. And none of my friends have ever liked me.

          It's not pity.

Just to be safe, you need to live to be 95 or older, then all your friends will be younger than you, though they will all be doctors or nurses.

My 'significant other' is 15 years younger.

A few months ago she was complaining about getting older...she said soon she would be old and ugly.

So, I said: 'You might be getting older, but you'll never be uglier'.

Yeah, something there got lost in the translation and it didn't come out quite right.

Took a lot of explaining to explain that.

She knows she looks good and is in great shape.

I'd like to think I'm in good shape.

I've run almost every day for the last years and years.

I'm not on any medication and have never been in the hospital. I'm not saying that to brag because I know people have genetic issues and things happen in life...I say it as something I'm thankful for every day and count it as a blessing.

As far as if I look good?

what you have done is remarkable. You simply have put the odds more in your favor by exercising. Doesn't guarantee anything but if i was a betting man i would put money on you for living a life well into your eighties and nineties.

Hey, I am two years older than my boyfriend. I am 28, he is 26. Even though I don't think that older age guarantees emotional maturity, I feel like I am more advanced emotionally than him and long term it will become a problem, I believe. anyone In similar situation>
