Does anybody have plans here in the US for the Holiday Weekend? It's going to be a wet day here on the East Coast on Thursday. I'm spending part of the day watching the Macy's Day Parade, a T-day dinner at home, and watching the Giants vs Dallas game.

I might lay on the bed facing a different direction but not sure as I wont be able to see the TV. Life is full of hard decisions.

Enjoy your day and food you lot, except for the green beans. Yuk.

I plan to be thankful and stuff my face with the usuals. I am
currently cooking up a pot of turkey gumbo which I will eat
today, and later on this evening I will put a Butterball in my
Nesco roaster to cook overnight and be ready to eat in the
    afternoon.

My sides are cornbread dressing, collard greens, Jamaican
sweet potatoes (with pineapple), giblet gravy, cranberries,
    deviled eggs, and ambrosia.

I might have some regular mashed potatoes and Brussels
sprouts, depending on how I feel. There's also an eggplant
dish that I love but I'll probably make it on Friday to eat
    with the leftovers.

My special drink will be zhooshed up ginger ale, to which
I will add lemonade concentrate and additional ginger ale
syrup - it is a wonderful mocktail. And a bit of eggnog.

I will watch some television but I just got a couple of new
Christmas related domain names that I plan to develop
tomorrow and work on them until whenever.

No Don we don't really celebrate Thanksgiving here even though retailers keep trying but every year our Turkey freezers are full.

Good that your country still has street parades, ours has pretty much canned most although maybe next year some sanity will prevail.

The closest we get is watching Warner Bros cartoons with Turkeys and that movie with a Turkey smuggled onto a Navy ship movie, (don't ask me the name black and white movie).

Both of my sons are here - and 3 of my 4 grandchildren and their S.O.'s are here. One Grandson (Air Force) couldn't make it but will be here for Christmas.

TN grandson brought his new dachshund puppy so my dog has a playmate (we lost our other dog to cancer a few weeks ago). We had the Macy's Parade on TV - love the marching bands!

Last turkey is in the fryer - my sons handle that. All the other dishes are done and going into the oven as they need to. Dishwasher is running for the 2nd time today so kitchen is clean and cleanup minimal. As usual - too much food - but I love leftovers.

Rest of day will be spent eating, and napping, and eating again....

Happpy Thanksgiving to all here who celebrate it.

My ducks are absolutely not in a row. I don't even know where some of them are...
...and I'm pretty sure one of them is a pigeon.

A bunch of relatives coming by in a little bit (too many).

I had actually thought this was a thread from last year when I saw 2023 in the headline

"I saw 2023 in the headline" Yep, my mistake.

"No Don we don't really celebrate Thanksgiving here even though retailers keep trying but every year our Turkey freezers are full." Yeah, it's just an American Holiday. Turkey's are only popular during the Holidays, except for Turkey Sandwich meat sold year round.

I knew it was an honest mistake.

      Was just joking with you.

    We do a breakfast instead.

None of my family are big on turkey, but we all love breakfast.

Then, I lead a free group hike on Black Friday. Had 27 hikers today. It was a good way to work off the big breakfast!
