Your Last Meal On Earth?

You are on death row, you have a last meal, anything of your choice, (although I know many states have restricted in what you can have) anything you desire, what would it be?

Mine would be the following.

Cuts of tender roast lamb with mint sauce, roasted potatoes, peas and baby carrots. All with lashings of rich brown gravy.

As a desert it would be strawberries and Ice cream. Yum. I would also like to smoke a fine cigar. Not a drinker much these days but a Blue Moon Lager with a slice of orange in it would go down well.

Me probably a Big Mac large fries and large Coke, with a caramel sundae since the first makes me feel sick afterwards and the ice cream is up for grabs?

And afterwards the largest cigar on the planet using 100 AU note to light it and the most expensive brandy on earth so l can get drunk before l lose my head?

Could we have a last meal without being on death row.

What sort of people do you think we are?

Anyway, if I had a choice of a last meal, it would be an endless all-you-can-eat buffet.

It would be a gourmet feast consisting of prime rib, lobster, fine cheeses and wines.

And all my favorite things like Rocky Road ice cream and Black Forest cake.

After this meal, I would probably die from eating too much.

BTW, I'll be going to Heaven because I was never on death row or evil.

If you are terminally ill and sick you may have no appetite for that last meal. If you were suicidal then it could also not be a priority. So I made it easy for you in relatively sound mind and body and urgency so you could really concentrate on what you would like and appreciate.

Do you really think that...knowing it was your last day alive...you would have an appetite?

Personally, I'd be thinking...."What a waste of a good meal".

My guess is that, if you were still thinking of food that last day,,.,you don't really understand what is about to happen to you.

And....If I ate a decent meal that last day, I'm imaging that I'd vomit it up a few seconds before I was executed....or it might come out the other way.

The practice, apparently has now been abolished in TX or at least limited to what can be made in the prison kitchens.

Perhaps I should change it to if you could eat your ultimate meal, no expense spared, what would it be?

          Looking forward to your choices

I don't know...I'm a very meat and potatoes kind of eater. A good steak, well done, maybe a light beer,,,or a cup of coffee. My Dad and I share this trait. No matter where we are, you can count on one hand the variety of what we would order.

Let's start with a whiskey flight: Pappy, Angel's Envy Rye, and, maybe Old Forrester Prohibition.

Appetizer: lightly breaded and fried artichoke hearts with a lemon beurre sauce, and some crispy hot buffalo wings (flats only, small not those jumbo abominations) washed down with a tall Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout and a tall Royal Docks Lovibond.

Find the nearest smokehouse and bring me one of everything (but double up the burnt ends). If they're gonna light me up, I plan on firing back.

For dessert? S'mores...and the rest of that Pappy.

I don't have an ultimate meal. I live in Las Vegas and I have friends who are chefs and I can cook a range of things that taste good to me.

The changes to my taste buds over the last few years I really don't enjoy more than a small portion of something really fatty or sweet. So a lot of American food doesn't taste good to me in American size portions haha.

    Hmm.

Probably a khao soi thai curry...

It's one of the most amazingly delicious things I've ever eaten, but wreaks havoc on my stomach. Knowing I wouldn't have to deal with the aftereffects would be a nice little silver lining!

  • I'd go for a massive ribeye steak, cooked medium-rare, with garlic butter on top.

Fried, Poach, Sunny side up, scrambled, or hard boiled? Hash browns, mashed, or baked?

For me, it'd be a big plate of biryani with raita and spicy chicken curry on the side. For dessert, definitely warm chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream
And yeah, I'd probably want a cold Coke to wash it all down. Simple but perfect.
