Singer Songwriters Cut Off In Their Prime

Many potentially great singer Songwriters died too young, some from drugs, some by accident and some from illness.

Amy Winehouse, half of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jim Croce, Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, to name but a few. Anyone I'm missing in your opinion and what level of quality output could have been?

Personally I would have been interested in the continued career of Buddy Holly, he wrote some great tunes, so young, had a lot of potential.

Jim Morrison of the Doors, of the biggest bands in that time period. So many iconic songs, it was a shame he passed away.

Well, I just got into town about an hour ago

    Stevie Ray Vaughn. Full stop.

Warren Zevon was putting out some of his best work when he passed.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Jeff Buckley had the potential for a genuinely remarkable catalog given how unique and emotive his work already was with just one full studio album.
