For me, it's the alpha male loudmouth. Iam a pretty reserved person who goes with the flow , but when iam around alpha males it just turns me into a different person. Sometimes to the point of being confrontational.

It always has and probably always will!

What about some of you here ??

So doesn't that mean that you are a mean alpha but just quiet until you get provoked in some way? Reserved people don't fly off the handle unless provoked in a big, serious way.

I don't mean anything with the question, I'm just yapping.

exactly, Mark. Getting provoked in a big way really can set me off. Not that i go postal or anything violent but just standup and hold my ground!!

For me, I despise liars, backstabbers, etc., more than anything. I can accept you don't like me, think I'm ugly, think I'm too fat, too poor, or whatever you think. But if you think those things and pretty it all up, not out of consideration or manners, but to hide your true feelings, I think that's a big problem.

I am a big picture guy and see everything from the 100 mile viewpoint. Everything is related in some way it seems. People that are too narrow minded rub me the wrong way. For example, I live in Asia. My habit is that if a loaf of bread costs $1.79, I just round it up in my head to $2.00 and will say the bread costs $2.00. In Asia, many people think you are a liar and out of place because you round it up instead of giving the exact amount.

No matter what kind of behavior, I've learned to control my emotions, mostly. But sometimes it is hard.

My older brother had an extremely violent temper that could be triggered at any moment. I can instantly sense this in other people. Most people learn to hide it, but I can just tell when that internal anger is hiding just below the surface. It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. It engages my fight-or-flight response and, with my brother, there was no option for flight. Thus, I don't care to be around such people.
