Anymore when iam not shuttling my daughters back and forth to and from school, working out 5 days a week from 4:45am to 6am at la fitness , and working Uber Eats and Doordash from early morning to early afternoon, (also walking the dog)...well you will find my retired butt on my love sack watching Netflix or Hulu, or True Crime from about 2pm to 4:30pm.

And then later on from about 7 to 9 pm. Gotten to be somewhat of a couch potato in my old age here in the last few months lol.

But you know what?? i work hard (not really lol) and play hard and enjoy every minute of it

Any of you guys out there self subscribed couch potatoes??

There's a call for that? Most armchairs I've met have seemed mentally well-balanced.

Now, if we're talking about coffee tables...

I think calling them armchairs is misrepresentation. They aren't chairs for arms. A chair for an arm is called a sling.

All chairs are butt chairs...or as they are more commonly known...Riffle chairs.

And these chairs don't even have arms......

If they had arms, they would give us hugs. . And why do chairs have legs, whether they have arms or not? The mystery deepens.

No...no my friend, we have a conspiracy here.

Who invented these chairs and who has the most to gain by saying they have arms?

Follow the money.....Follow the money, and I think you'll find it leads us back to Big Chair.

          It had to be said.

Now I need to rest. Arguing with myself is exhausting.

This conspiracy is as old as time itself, dating back, at least, to the Ottoman empire.

There are degrees in nearly everything.

To me, a couch potato lets someone else (usually a wife) do all the real work, while they sit in front of the TV drinking beer. Lazy, without enough ambition to even carry their own weight.

I've met these people....hundreds of them.

    You're not that.

Neither am I. Although my ambition is largely out of me since retirement. I spend less than an hour a day in front of the TV or computer screen.

Reading, writing (yup, those are done sitting down, but I think of it as work), and exercising every day between an hour and hour and a half.

By the way, my blood pressure is about 107 over 60 and my heart beats (at rest) about 60 BPM. For my age, I'm in exceptional health. And I'm now down to about 233 pounds.

Less than 50 to go to hit my best weight.

Yes, I'm bragging. I need to get approbation and praise...or I'll wither and die.

Such is the need of a delusional narcissist.

We had to get rid of our dining chairs - they were eating us out of house and home.

By the way, Robert, as an armchair psychologist, how do you get your patients to lie on the couch?

That's obvious. You put them on a couch and ask a question that they don't want to answer. That's how you get them to lie.

      Jeesh!

Haha this actually sounds like a pretty solid routine early workouts, busy mornings, and then some well-earned relaxation time in the afternoon. I can relate to the "work hard, relax hard" lifestyle. I run a small personal site as well where I share different thoughts and content sometimes -- pakistantoure.com -- so this post made me smile.
