This is amateur night for drunks. People who normally dont drink all that much will go out tonight, get hammered and make the mistake of driving.

Be careful tonight if you're out and about.

Tonight for me is all about meeting with my old
friends, having a few beers and some champagne
at 12 - we used to all have a Cohiba cigar each
but they banned smoking in pubs!

Also, happy 2010 for our Australian friends, they're
already in 2010!

Thanks for this very important reminder. We sometimes hear people say something like, "I'm not worried. I can handle myself. And if I do get in an accident, no problem, that's my business. Don't worry about me."

Well, friendly drunk driver, it's not really YOU we're worried about. It's the innocent people you maim and kill and the families THEY leave behind that we're worried about.

Do not drink and drive. Give your vehicle keys to somebody trustworthy BEFORE you start drinking. Then, if you drink, instead of driving, walk, call a taxi cab, call a friend, do anything but get behind the wheel of a vehicle. Be concerned and feel responsible for the lives of others.

Looked at the blue moon with my boys, had some hot chocolate and ready to settle down for the evening. After 40 its all about being comfortable.

  I usually don't go out on New Years because there's always so many expectations and every place you go to cost more money than usual. The night never goes as planned and I always tell myself, "next year I'm staying home."
