Heck if that dosn't happen has any one heard of Apophis. Its and asteroid that will be coming really close to earth on Friday the 13th in April of 2029. Here is the link from NASA:

This is important news. Any vendors selling 2012 survival guides need to add a section about building a lead bunker and appropriate rations to take down. Otherwise customer may ask for a refund. A refund! That is scary news

I would start packing now, because according to
Massive white dwarf in our galaxy may go supernova
we only have 10 million years left! Furthermore, the star is 3200ish LY away and not 3 like the tabloid says

Physicians (wait? Physicists?) are unsure whether supernovae farther away than 100LY would actually harm earth...so..its more likely that in 10 Mill years we see a nice lightshow and survive

On a serious side-note, this is the stuff which would get you visitors and sell books, in the light of "OMG in 2012 we are all going to die!" <-- so i recommend to write a few ebooks and hype a little, those kind of web pages and books WILL sell the next year(s) for sure

That's true. The closer it gets to 2012, the more the media will cover it. This would then make people a little curious about it and searching for info on it. Could be a nice little earner. Just make sure that the refunds don't go past 20/12/2010, because as soon as it hits the 21st, people will be really pissed that they spent that cash on that info product! But I suppose they'll be glad that they're still alive!

I think, just in case any (or all) of these goom predictions do not come to pass,
that we aught to be more concerned with what we are doing to the planet, and
ourselves, NOW.

We all know that we are killing the ground we walk upon, and we aught to go
back to basics and look after the earth, after all it is the only one we have at
the moment at any rate.

But we also aught to be looking to what we are doing to ourselves. Here in the
UK they are predicting a massive epidemic of alzheimers disease in the next
few years, but so far I have not heard one person ask the question "WHY?"

Something like that does not just happen, we are causing it in some way, but
no-one seems to be bothered why or how.

Likewise the increase in asthma and allergies. These are all caused by outside
influences, either our surroundings and/or what we eat. But do you hear our
governments saying they want to know why these things are happening?

Sorry, on my soapbox, but until the general public start taking an interest and
making those in power think about these things, we will continue to poison
ourselves and die before we have to.
