What is beer pong?

OK so I'm from the UK, I keep hearing about this beer pong game and I'm intreaged (however it's spelt). Could anyone tell me the rules so I can play with some of my friends over here?

    1-Find a table.
    2-Clear the table
    3-Set up 10 plastic cups on each end in a bowling pin type pattern.
    4-Fill each cup with beer
    5-Position one contestant on either side of the table.
    6-Grab a ping pong ball and hand it to the contestant that is entitled to go first.
    7-This player needs to toss the ping pong ball and have it land in one of the beer filled cups on the opposite end of the table.
    8-If the ball lands in one of the cups the other player HAS to down the beer.

    and so on and so forth......

    I haven't played this since college but it brings back some great memories!!
