Hey Guys,

I am going to watch AVATAR 3D at the cinemas/movies tonight!

Who has seen it?

What can I expect?

This is my first 3D movie and this has had rave reviews, so I am looking forward to this one and would love to hear your views on it!

I went and saw Avatar in 3D with some people from work as a team building event just before the holidays. Quite the experience to say the least. Then again, it was the first 3D movie I've seen so I don't have anything to compare it to.

The story has been told time and time again (running with wolves, Pocahontas) though that really didn't bother me as it's a good story . The effect were insane, it was definitely a unique cinematic experience.

The story line is cheesy as hell, but the visuals make it worth the admission.

Its nice but the end is catastrophic and the viewers may become dejected after seeing it.

Until they realize that it's not real, and they've just witnessed some great 3d graphics.

Avatar was the best movie i've seen in the past few years. It really sucked me in, or should i say blew me away?
The world pandora is incredibly beatifully designed, and the 3D effect even pushes this beauty. In my opinion the story is told very well, so you never get bored in the whole 160 minutes. But i have to agree with yasha that the story really isnt something new, and you'll know exactly what will happen after the first 10 minutes. If this is a problem for you, you shouldnt watch the film, but if you can ignore this, you will have a fantastic experience.

Well, all I can say is WOW!

That is the best film I have seen in a long time, the 3D effects are amazing!

I agree on the storyline but the whole experience sucked me in! I have NEVER been to see a film twice at the cinemas, never even contemplated it. But this morning I want to go and watch it again!

3D is awesome and it was worth every penny!

Now, I am excited to see what other films take on this 3D experience like Avatar!

If you haven't seen it yet in 3D, pick up the phone and book it ASAP, you won't regret it!

I could see avatar being a 'series' like a harry potter or star wars maybe. Its definately got the 'buzz' and i'm pretty sure that people would file back into the theater to see it again

Besides the excellent 3D effects, which naturally would be present when spending the kind of money they spent on Avatar, I thought the plot-line was terrible and I was miserably bored watching the movie. Longggg, lots of repetition.. flying.. blah blah.. and the whole reason for the war was ridiculous, especially with the lack of communication between humans and the blue people, despite the avatars.

Similar to Star Wars in the 70's, I think Avatar set the bar as to how movies are going to be going forward, with the 3D that is. The colors are stunning, the CGI is amazing, and the movie was build for 3D. I wouldn't recommend seeing it any other way.

If you're looking to see great story telling...forget it...snoozeville.

If you're looking to see great effects...hard to beat this one.

    This according to my daughter.

No, I haven't seen it and have no intentions of seeing it.

I'm not impressed by fancy effects.

Give me a story to keep me awake.

And yeah, I've seen this movie in 3D and it was awesome. One of the coolest movies I've seen in quite a while, though I knew nothing about it going into the theater and therefore had no expectations. So that may have helped.

I got to see it in 3D . . . for about an hour. The place was standing room only, or the very front row. We took the front row, and wouldn't you know it, my daughter and I got sick . . . had to leave.

But for the time we were there, we loved it. Sitting that close, I felt I could reach out and touch everything. It was pretty cool . . . till I got sick.

My sons felt it was the greatest movie ever, and they'd love to see it a few more times on the big screen if they can. 3D, of course.

I'm going to see it in normal mode so that I can actually see the whole movie. Although I may give 3D another shot but take some Dramamine first. I was pretty disappointed that we couldn't stay and see the whole thing. 3D is pretty amazing and it was my first time viewing a movie that way.

I loved it and hope there will be a sequel.

Unfortunately, James Cameron doesn't often revisit the scene of his hit movies. I'm still waiting for the "Titanic" sequel.

It was reported that James Cameron will make two sequels after learning that the movie will soon dislodge the Titanic's highest movie earnings position in the box office..

I just don't know if this is already confirmed..

The boat sank, everyone on it is pretty much dead of old age. What possible sequel could there be? It cant sink more.

We traveled 500kms to see it in 3D and it was worth it.

Ok we had to go 500kms anyway for other reasons and caught it while we were there.

Its great. It's what's need to promote the whole 3D industry. I have seen other 3D films, doco and stuff and they were great, but this was better, no, even betterer than that.

People that whinge about the story life are people that cant relax and let their minds go free. If you want great story life, just watch art house films, you know, the boring fims the movie critics love.

I though the story was good. I loved it.

Wolfman looks better! The vampire movie was pretty good..what was it called? Day Breakers. Enjoyed a new twist on an old story.
