Warriors,

The internet is so crowded now with marketers and affiliates, it makes me wonder...is it really possible for a newbie to make a full time living as an internet marketer?

I know a "full time living" will vary for each person, so let's use the approximate average US income - about $40K. Can a person starting out today make $40K annually online? If so, about how long do you think it would take?

From what I see/read, it seems the best way to make "real" money online is to create your own product and get JVs selling for you. Do you agree?

Interested in reading peoples feedback.

No a newbie can't start making a full time income from the Internet.
What they can do is learn about internet marketing.
I can't give you a time frame, no one can.
But depending on how fast you learn and act on what you learn, you can be making a full time income from the internet.

Starting an internet business (which is what you are doing) isn't any different from starting a brick and mortar business. You need a good location with lots of traffic (S.E. rankings for targeted keywords) a professional looking store (web site), a good product better then the next guys, good customer support, and if you have employee's hire the right ones and treat them right.

I agree with Thom, I found in the first 12 months I was chopping and changing and getting sucked in with all the latest and greatest products to make you work from home fulltime in 7 days!!!!

Oh yes I did fall for that...lol. None of them worked.

I have found over the last 12 months (the end of my second year) online have been my most effective.

I have learnt to stick with a plan and implement it, also I have been working with a guy by the name of John Delevera who is a internet marketing legend...

I suggest you take a look and see if John can help you on your way..
Because you need to work and get advice of people who are succeeding online...

the warrior forum is great also.. There is a lot of quality information here... for you to soak in...

The statstics I have read recently are that $437 billion is made by home businesses, with the vast majority being network marketing or internet marketing businesses.

So somebody is making money - and it is probably not newbies in their first week as some of them would imagine.

It is just like any other business where you have to make mistakes, always learn new things, build and sustain momentum and not give up or get discouraged.

Well, what does it take to make money?

    #1-You need a hungry market

#2-You need something to sell to that market

    #3-You need a marketing angle

Right now close to 3.5 billion people are plugged in. So you have LOTS of hungry markets.

You'll have to figure out the rest for yourself.

And yes, I dont like to talk about earnings (Its bad posture) but you can make ALOT more than 40k a year.

An above person said affiliate marketing is where it is at.

Product creation can be great too. I would suggest choosing one and sticking with it. I started off with affiliate marketing but am now dabbling in product creation and I can tell you, you definitely can make a full time income online.
