I've always wondered if we should really meddle in mother nature's business like this. We work really hard to 'save' species, when its a part of natures process. To me that always sounded like man's ego trying to win over nature's force

What if humans are directly to blame for a species extinction? What if the consequences of an extinction will eventually impact humans adversely?

thats just nature. there is always something directly resposnbile for a species exteninction.

When a grey fox eats the last of the mongolian rabbits, the grey foxes dont band together and try to bring back the mongolian rabbits. The bunnies just dont exist anymore...thats nature. And if humans end up dying off because of it...well..thats nature too.

Humans are a part of nature, we are not separate. Therefore, what we do is part of nature. We can't manipulate nature, we are nature. Bringing into existence a previously extinct species is not "winning over nature" it is nature at work. At best, we are natures instruments. It's past time humans dumped the ego and accepted that we and everything we do, good or bad, is part of nature.

Clean up the environment? That's just Mother Nature getting out the mop and bucket. Clone a dead cow? That's just Mother Nature in the kitchen testing a new recipe. Humans think far too highly of themselves.

If that's true then, then you're saying there's no difference between a forest fire being started by a careless camper or a forest fire started by lightning.

Or, Man being a part of nature, there is no such thing as murder. Because, Man being a part of nature, pulling a trigger is a Mother Nature at work.

Sounds really interesting (think bigger steaks).
The way they are doing it has been done with plants for a long time now.
Many of the heirloom veggies around now came about from back breeding.
The process can also be used to discover or prove a plants lineage.

I wonder if a certain internet marketer had anything to do with this to get some new exclusive transport, you know, like the cattle version of the Lamborghini?

There's a pic of it on Wikipedia and these are giant bessies. They are some lean mean machines and look like they have the ability to have quite a bit of attitude. Wouldn't want to meet one in an open field, that's for sure.
