I have been ACCUSED of typing in all caps, but I haven't since about 1984. And THAT is because I used an APPLE II which had an old style computer keyboard.

Like Kay said, START OVER!

BTW I am NOT getting andy younger. I am about 25 years older than I was when I typed in all caps! MY GOD, it has been almost TWENTY SIX YEARS! 2010-1984!

They say that eye sight goes with age, so it would make sense that people type in caps to make it easier to see the text.

Also, older people(who have just discovered computers) would be less likely to be familiar with the 'rule' that all caps means yelling.

Makes sense to me!

Mostly it is new computer people emailing others and not understanding the basic cap rule. It could be someone that is using it to yell at you as well. If experienced the latter is true.

Daniel is partly right.

I mentioned this in the newsletter once (the shouting thing), and got responses from a bunch of people telling me that it was because their eyesight wasn't so good due to age.

I explained to them how they could change font sizes in their browsers and email software. You'd have thought I'd given them a million dollars and a pony from their reactions.

My husband writes like that, people give him a hard time all the time over it but he doesn't care. He tells me "I don't care what people say, I write the way I want to write and I find it looks better". I try to tell him it means he's yelling on the other end but again he just doesn't care. Oh and he's not old, not to me anyway...
