hi fellow warriors,

i never thought that that being a newbie in this forum, i would see and resolve a scam that is going on. its sad but true that things like this are still happening and the mods dont have any control in kind of situation.

anyway here is the story.

being a newbie in the IM world is very frustrating at times. i do not know where to start, i do not know who am i going to approach, i do not know what materials i am going to use, and stuffs like that which can help me get started. these are the primary reasons why i thought of finding a mentor.

i am not that kind of a person who relies on spoon feeding. i believe that for me to become successful, i need to do things on my own. i need to work hard and be smart. but at the back of my mind, i always i wanted to have someone who can help me get started, for me to be able to get on the right path.

yesterday, while i was browsing, i saw a one-on-one coaching ad that was posted by our fellow warrior. it was about making $8000 in a very short time. he even said that six figure earnings would be achieved by the end of this year. i was amazed and of course i got very excited by what i saw. but i didnt sink in right away. by the way, he was running this ad for just 24 hours and asking for a $497 fee. (now i realized that not having enough money could also be an advantage LOL )

i am always aware of the scams that are going on for a very long time. so what i did before joing in (as i planned to be one of his students) was i did a little research. he had 10 friends (not a huge following for a mentor), he had 400+ posts (which means he's an active warrior), had 90+ thanks in 20+ posts (which is good in a way), but what really caught my attention was the thread that he started a few days ago or a month ago regarding $2000 in 14days. this is also a one-on-one coaching program which is very much different from his most recent coaching program.

i read the posts in the "$2000 in 14 days" thread and to my amazement i saw that this coaching program didnt push through and the warriors who paid for this program were asking for a refund. the thread starter, clint, was saying that there has been a family problem and i think if i am not mistaken, his wife or his mom was sick thats why there was a delay. in my confusion, i posted in his most recent thread ($8000 in a very short time) asking why was he starting a new coaching program if the prior coaching coaching has been started yet.

he messaged me thru PM requesting me to delete that post. i was confused why he was asking that (i was not hijacking,i am just asking). i know that i can post anything in any thread. ive seen post like "scam alert" in some of the ads here which are not being deleted. i replied back asking him why was he requesting me to do so and i demanded for a clarification why was he starting a new coaching program if th other other program didnt push thru before i delete my post. he told me that it already started and to my stupidity i believed in him so i deleted my post in that thread because i somewhat believed in him. by the way, he branded himself as a "senior warrior" so who am i, just a newbie, to question him. my bad. my mistake.

i was still in doubt though so i contacted one of the persons who paid in the "$2000 in 14 days" coaching program and asked him if it pushed through. to my amazement, he said that it didnt pursue and he was asking for a refund but clint, was not answering his PM. i told him that a new coaching program was being started by the same person and he was surprised at that. i told him to post in that "senior warrior"'s recent thread to get his attention.

he did what i said. i even quoted his post and i said "this was what i was talking about. i am now confused. whats the story? i am not hijacking this thread. i am just asking for clarification"

to my surprise, i got an infraction message from a fellow warrior. he was acting like a moderator and branded himself as a "veteran warrior". my heart started beating fast coz i was afraid that i might get suspended. i was new in this forum so i really dont know what kind of consequences will i receive due to that infraction.

i stayed composed though and exchanged messages to both of them thru PM asking why i was reported and why did i get an infarction. both of them said that i was breaking a WSO rule. i was like "huh? i was breaking a WSO rule for making a clarification coz i did see something wrong? and it was wrong to protect my fellow warrior to fall in his kind of trap?"

we exchanged a few more messages. and to tell you honestly, as a newbie who is desperate to find a good coach, i still thought that this "senior" warrior was genuine. i also thought that this "veteran" warrior was a moderator in this forum. i said sorry for the mistake that i did and i logged off.

to my surprise when i logged in today, both users are BANNED!!! LOL..i dont know why but maybe, a lot of people read my clarification and checked out the "senior" warrior's other coaching program that didnt push through. maybe it reached the moderator so he got banned. in regards to that fake moderator, i dont know how the true moderator caught his involvement with this "senior" warrior. but any how, a job well done

i hope all warriors learned from this experience, especially to the newbies like me. just a piece of advice, before joining in any coaching program, checked out the credibility of that person. check his profile, read some of his posts and the posts that he started, checkout his followings and how many thanks that that warrior received from his/her fellow warrior. in that way, the chance of being scammed is next to impossible if not lesser.

to all scammers out there. beware as i keep my eyes on you.

peace

    update:

as i was checking the posts of that con artist, i cant see the 2 coaching programs that i was talking about in this post.

i think that the real account was hacked so these people could victimized us warriors. i feel sorry for you owner of that real account and i feel sorry to all who fell in this trap

to all warriors, make sure to protect your warrior account as these hackers can attack anytime.

      welcome aboard dude.

well i have talked to some who i think are credible enough to invest with. i just cant endorse anyone since i dont want to be the cause of trouble if the agreement between you and the mentor falls off. you get what i mean?

what my advice is, click on search ---> advance search -----> type "coaching" or "mentor" ---> select search titles only

youll see the ads that falls under coaching and its just up to you to decide whether to join in or not.

      goodluck on your search

Just edit the posts and take out the peoples names and i agree im making some money online have joined a grouping session and to be honest if you dont follow whats been said then you never learn, regardless of who has the teaching programs a ebook is stright forward infomation but what's that, I prefer to watch people live or in cam doing some things that way i can repeat it and if it dont work for me at least i gave it a go and got my mind set to stay positive, instead of reaching like some people for the paypal delete and refund button,

Theres tons of ebooks out there that say make $$$$ in hours with this and charge 37 dollars or xxx amounts just to find there are extras involved to get them moving, if 470 dollars or the amount you mentioned is too much then start small, build a website, place adsense on it, and use twitter, thats how i started and it works very well for me, find something that will keep you intrested not just the make money online infomation thats just saturated, Finding a site like mine like psp go or football keeps involved in building content because i come from a town that has two great teams and when my son is here i play game consoles with him so there something i work at and i get now for a seven page website over 1,000 visitors daily with,

buy a war room subcription and just learn from the talented people here, the best investment for life i have ever done.

If you are very new you should learn as much on your own as you can before "investing" (i.e., buying). That will give you time to closely evaluate people here.

The "veteran warrior" tag is probably assigned by the system at a certain number of posts. Members are moderators and the best thing to do if you are certain there is a problem is simply to report it to the help desk - and they will figure it out.

Good coaches aren't trolling for customers by PM. If you see a WSO it's always a good idea to check warriorplus.com to see how many WSO's have been run by the person and what the comments on those were.

A little skepticism is a useful thing to have in this business.

Other than breaking a rule for posting names (which can be a legal issue, so is not allowed) ya did real well for yourself.

Anyone can give anyone else an infraction - never be intimidated by it. If you feel it was given as blackmail, intimidation, or any other really fraudulent reason, the people at the help desk have some intense sharps and they will look into it for you.

This place is huge and is kept as clean as possible but sometimes a few cads slip under the wire (at least for awhile) so always watch what you are doing.

And I second Kay's motion to learn all you can free before spending. We've all seen those who crash spending just to get a start and by the time they get where they can do anything real they are out of bucks to do it with. There's so much free information to get you started - use it to your advantage. Once you get some direction and a few of the basics figured out, then you'll at least have some idea of what direction your money will best be spent on.

From what I've read here you'll do just fine. You might want to read TOS (Terms of Service) on sites before digging in though - sometimes breaches of terms can get you booted and that really isn't how you want to get started.

Always a few slimy toads out there - nice work helping eliminate this one

There is plenty of information out there that won't cost you anything - too much in fact - but enough to get a plan together and start making money before investing.

My biggest breakthroughs came through coaching with mentors and I highly recommend taking that path if you want to grow a big long term business. A good coach reviews your work, gives you accountability to someone else which can really motivate you.

Most books and membership sites are OK but it's easy to miss the one small detail that stops a sale from coming in.

About a year ago I stopped learning from books and courses and now invest in coaching but I've got the money to invest. When I was new to IM I grabbed an ebook (might have been Shawn Casey at the time) and worked the plan.

I would like to offer some advice when it finally comes to coaching and finding a mentor. Always contact the person by PM and ask questions. Dont be afraid to ask for thier skype address or something like that to chat further about the programme.

If they are genuine and not hiding behind smoke and mirrors they should be fine with this.

In the past I took a coaching programme by a respected Warrior and it stopped dead halfway through so be careful sometimes coaching is not all its cracked up to be, but fortunately in the end I found a good Warrior that I got and still continue to get good mentoring from.

I too have wanted to thank and commend this Warrior.

Aside from the rules about bashing and naming names, I would be in support of a 'Hall of Shame' - but then my vote doesn't count.

Even at that however, there are banned scammers who come back with another name and picture - we have run them down a few times but it is nearly impossible -

It is a full time job and as a very wise friend says 'don't feed negativity' - so it is really hard unless you have 'powers' to catch every scammer on the planet.

I think the private message system would be appropriate to warn people when a known 'felon' is here preying on the people - then again you can open yourself up for a counter attack - so at least be sure of what you are saying when you accuse someone even privately and be ready to back it up with documentation.*

Anyway stay diligent, stay safe and stay PROACTIVE.

    More power to ya!

    * I was surprised to learn about the law myself. Even if you have a hundred documents to prove someone ripped you off, to publicly call the person out and accuse them of a crime, without opening yourself up for possible legal problems (lawsuits) for libel and slander, the accused would need to have been TRIED AND CONVICTED in a court of law of the crime you are accusing them of.

    ... sad but true.
