Ok so today i got asked by an older woman if i could give her a bit of money so she could go and eat and all i had was my card on me (well i wasn't going to give her that) so i had to say no and walk away.

Anyhow a little while later i got approached by some punky looking kid who asked for a cigarette so seeing as he used the word 'please' and said 'thank you' politely i gave him one and he walked off happily.

Then about 3 hours later a foreign woman came up to me and asked me if i wanted to sign her petition to help children get milk or water or something or other, so i took 2 minutes and signed it!

Wasn't until i got to the last coloumn i found out that i had to write an amount of money down and then give her that amount... i wrote down 5 like most of the other's had and gave her the money and she in return said thank you sir with a smile and walked off.

So anyhow maybe it was karma for not going and getting some money out to give to that older lady at the start but those were my 2 good deeds and the one deed i couldn't have easily done without going out of my own way.

Hmmm, now you've got me thinking, I haven't done a good deed for today yet I don't think.

How about last night I went out in the rain to bring in the kids shoes that were left outside even after I told them a few times to bring them in - does that count as a good deed?

Sure it does... even though it's for your kids and not a complete stranger it's still a good deed!

      That's really nice!

Strangely there arn't many people who sit on the street in my area so unfortunatly can't really do that one but the sponsoring a child sounds interesting... which organization is that with?

Can giving out advices to ignorant people count as good deed?

If yes then I do that everyday whether they're good or bad advice.

You can still do good deeds online, donate money, help someone with something, give advice heck you could even just digg someone's article or whatever!

It's all still a good deed for the day.

I've got a "good deed of the day" - I recently helped a guy in the Ukraine with a product launch. His English isn't that good and so he had a really hard time writing ad copy and since it was his first launch, I guess he didn't think to hire a professional... So for about a week I would rewrite his autoresponder emails to his customers and JV partners. It only took a few minutes a day, but he really appreciated it.

There ya go - it's pretty easy to help someone else out

What and you didn't take a cut or charge for that?

Damn at a minimum i would have taken a % for my help from that one... especially as it involves alot of my own time.

I listened to a couple friends today express some issues they were having in their personal life. Sometimes just lending an ear goes a long way...

I brought breakfast for a colleague. I donated some money for a school catering to spastic children. I was the sounding board to a friend in trouble. I agree with kellyryan028... listening is something that is very important to do for those in need. Maybe we can't offer solutions, but it is like they are thinking aloud. They are in a way presenting the problem to themselves and usually figure out the answer themselves, or at least feel less burdened for just having shared.

Loving the little rhyme you got there but you never posted what your 'golden deed' was for today?
