Proof That Good Grammar Is Necessary...

The prisoner had served his term. His possessions were returned by a female prison officer, including cash.

Overcome with desire after a long incarceration, he suggested she sleep with him and keep the money.

Immediately his parole was rescinded. Back to his cell he went.

Which proves, of course, that you should never end a sentence with a proposition.

    • TECHNICALLY, a police officer would consider that a CRIME! Prostitution is generally illegal, and the criminal wanted to treat the police officer as a prostitute(exchanging money for sex).

BTW that may be a MINOR offense, and often wouldn't get him locked up SO quick, but he may have been let out on parole, so it was WORSE!

  • Isn't that never end a sentence with a preposition? Or is that the joke?

    I don't get it, anyway.
