I just sat and watched a video on my computer
for 30 minuts ago then it suddenly restarted.
I noticed it updated itself during shutdown,
so I figured: "OK, it just some MS updates to install".
But, it would not start up Windows again.
So I had a real hazzle to get it to restore back to a earlier restore point.

That's very strange yet consistent with windows stability in the past.

I've actually kind of glad I upgraded to Windows 7 from XP myself. There are many features I tend to use frequently and haven't had any real issues yet (my fingers are crossed). I also have it informing me when updates are available so it doesn't install without my permission.

I hope you got everything back after the problem!
