I have a picture of the new BMW M3. Its the picture I put up like 2 years ago to motivate me in school and kept it for sentimental reasons. Its a good motivator even though the M3 in the picture isnt even new anymore. Maybe I will change up to an aston or lambchop or something.

Things don't motivate me. Attitude motivates me. That's the attitude. I don't want to HAVE something, I want to BE something.

A gladiator. A warrior. A glistening hunk of rippling man-flesh that puts fear in the hearts of men and desire in the loins of women. Center of the arena, all eyes on me, fighting against impossible odds and winning.

    Who isn't inspired by that?

Because somehow, it has completely eluded him that I can still carry a gun.

I mean, hell, my FMA dojo has firearms classes every two months. We're not stupid.

You made a joke about Lou Ferrigno, who wasn't carrying a gun. I made a joke in return. Obviously they don't teach sense of humor in that dojo of your's. You may want to work on it, a good sense of humor can be a great form of self defense.

And obviously you take my ridicule much too personally.

Not talking about you. Just about people who do something stupid.

Oh, I'm sorry, do you do that? My apologies. I still think it's stupid. Maybe you should stop doing it.

Lots of things. Most are not material things such as a car or jewelry or designer handbags. And especially not that picture CD posted He's just too big The biggest material thing is probably a nice house in a wonderful place with that awesome salt water air smell, right by a beautiful beach that's by a turquoise ocean where it never snows or gets cold Some non material things are freedom, feelings of success and accomplishment. And being a good provider for the kids is both material and non material. Oh and swimming with the dolphins

There is a picture of evolution of man that ends with man hunched over a computer.

This picture reminds me not to let my entire life revolve around the computer, and also helps me keep my posture when I'm on the computer.

I think it is the fact that everyone get up and leaves there house with tears in their eyes ready for a another day of work, whilst I am tucked in my blanket sleeping away and not needing to worry about getting to work on time. So putting it in a nice way I don't want to be like everyone else.

I agree with you, CDarklock! It sounds typical but I get motivated by looking at my family photo, especially my 6 year old daughter. I want to BE a great provider for them. This may also sound typical but I love Rocky the movie. I remember i got so inspired when I first watched it and I found myself running the very next day (I know many did that LOL). I made a short slide-show video using Animoto.com putting some of my family photos, cars etc. also Rocky doing some training. I watch it everyday.

BTW, this is one of the favorite quotes from "Rocky Balboa - 2006" (Rocky telling his son):

"I'd hold you up to say to your mother, "this kid's gonna be the best kid in the world. This kid's gonna be somebody better than anybody I ever knew." And you grew up good and wonderful. It was great just watching you, every day was like a privilige. Then the time come for you to be your own man and take on the world, and you did. But somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you you're no good. And when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame, like a big shadow. Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain't you! You're better than that! I'm always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. You're my son and you're my blood. You're the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, ya ain't gonna have a life. Don't forget to visit your mother."

But the REAL question is whether you drank a raw egg for breakfast.

I like this because it is convincing of intelligent design and all I need to do is have faith - everything will always be fine.

This may escape some of you and I humbly request that you don't make any snarky remarks. "If you can't say something nice don't say anything".

    I just got this today.

    PINE TREE CROSSES

yech - i used to watch my grandma Lucia eat a raw egg right out of the shell. Today she would die of salmonella - what happened between then and now? She followed that with a teaspoon of chopped garlic). She lived to 88 and I don't think it was the eggs that got her. I know she could kick a chickens butt - well actually conquer one with an axe - all 4 feet 10 of her. Just part of cooking dinner (in Yo, OH).
