For me it was going from 20% bodyfat down to 10%. MY GOD, loosing fat while preserving muscle is got to be one of the hardest things to do. I was hitting the gym 7am every morning and going bed at 10pm. I was eating 6 times a day and not going over 2000 calories a day. Making note of everything that went in my body. It taught me excellent self discipline.

Whats the hardest thing you ever did? something that really expanded your mind and you had to bring in your reserves to accomplish it!!

      Peace, Steve.

The hardest thing I ever did was cure myself of a death diagnosis. They told me it was leukemia and to this day I refuse to believe it. I moved to 8,700 ft in the mountains of Colorado to a town which had such pure tap water that people came from all over the world to inspect the build of the natural filter systems. I climbed mountains every day even when I felt I couldn't get off the couch. I got masses of sunshine and ate things with traces of cancer killers like raw spinach, garlic, broccoli, and tomatoes. I ate the hard core cancer annihilators like raspberries and black berries and turmeric until I couldn't eat any more whether I wanted to eat or not. When it was warm on my hikes I ate clover, dandelion, chamomile and anything else that would clean the blood, and drank orange juice by the gallons even on top of vitamin C tablets, drank a lot of tea. I kept away from plastics and synthetic fibers......you name it........everything I did was aimed at getting my life back.

One day I accidentally poisoned myself at a mine site (arsenic) and went to an emergency room not realizing what I had gotten into. The doctor came in and told me my immune system was very weak and I laughed, and I laughed hard (never explained that reaction to him). I had an immune system - YES! I knew I was going to live. Then I said no thank you to the 5000 bucks worth of tests they were going to do and went to the local natureopath and grabbed 5 bucks worth of herbs from him to get rid of the heavy metals in my bloodstream. I promised him that I wouldn't lick any more rocks. LOL. Looking back it seems like it was all so easy at a glance, but when I stop and remember the day by day gruel, it really was rough - real rough, especially climbing. But, hey - I wasn't done yet so I had to do it.

The hardest thing I have done? Leaving an abusive marriage - with a toddler and being 4 months preggers with #2.

I was a single mom for 6 years. Worked from home and supported the 3 of us.

It was hard, but it was an awesome time.

    Many difficult ones.
The one I will share is telling my X "no" when she wanted us to get back together. I guess I had a better memory than she.
In some ways it was the best for us both.
But, she found someone who likes to party A LOT so, at 56 she's acting like a teenager again. Drives drunk a lot too. I worry for her.

The hardest thing I've ever done (yet) doesn't compare at all to some of the heart-wrenching things the rest of you folks did, but I'd have to say it was getting my Master's Degree.

The sheer amount of mental exhaustion you go through preparing and writing a thesis and countless reports is mind-blowing. I'd never even really planned on getting a higher level of degree, I just decided to try it to see if I could.

Now I'll be paying off student loans for the next 10 years on a whim!
