Who here actually takes the time to read lengthy forum topics that will have absolutely no positive affect on how they conduct their business, or anything else in their life? I'm not going to list any specific topics, but its sometimes surprising to see which topics have the highest post counts and what kind of topics actually get the most attention.

Since I don't want this topic to become one of those time-wasters, lets discuss the methods that you use to decide which topics you invest your precious time into, and what the deciding factors are for these decisions.

    Admittedly, I do spend a lot of time here, but it's usually at the beginning of each day, the end of each day and in between tasks during my breaks. I try to mostly browse and contribute to threads that I feel are helpful to me, and ones that I feel I can offer some thoughts, help and advice in

      It can be an easy trap to fall into...

      I allocate about 1 hour per day here on the forum. I generally have something in mind that i want to do some research on and then put it into action...

      One thing to remember, working as and Internet Marketer you will find that you will waste time..

      • You will waste time with keyword research, but this will help you find profitable ones, but it may take you days to find the right ones.
      • You may waste time writing articles, you may have to write and re-write articles to get the one you like...
      • You may waste time promoting products that you thought would be profitable but were not... But you need to go through the poor ones to find the "diamonds"
      You see the more you find things that don't work and are a waste of time you still learn from them....

        After you've been here for awhile you kind of notice this forum is just the same thing over and over, it's rare I check and fine anything I haven't heard of before. I use to waste a lot of time here though yeah, but I've learned a lot as well.

    You do make a good point there, but you can sometimes pick up gem ideas when you work through these popular threads. I have recently discovered a variety of sites where I can drop some links down in the bio box. Usually, I would have hammered these quite quickly, but I was reading a thread on here where it was advised to create the account, leave it for a week or so and then come back later and drop the links. This almost stealth-like approach will probably equate to a good percentage of these links remaining active which probably wouldn't of happened when some mods took a quick glance at the new members. Common sense tells me that I should have done this a long time ago, but I have always opted for the aggressive approach and this is really not the best way to go about things (have learn't that over the past few months). The words of wisdom in that thread just helped to cement that in my head! This is why Warrior is a great forum and it tells me that the time spent here is productive time spent. I can spend hours on Facebook, Youtube etc and that kind of time spent (I admit) is completely counterproductive.

    There are different threads for different goals. If you are here to bs about nothing, then this offtopic thread may be where you go. Can you pick up gems for your business in the off topic forum? Yes. Likely? No

    If you are here looking to solve a problem, then bam, right up to the search function.

    If you are here looking to just browse and pick up general gems, just browse the specific threads like CPA, or SEO

    thats what is wonderful about this forum. If you are disciplined, then it can meet every one of your goals
