          As a child?

          What age?

          At 5 it was Superman

At 9 it was Lost In Space

As the years came and went, shows came and went. And as a kid, each
year is an eternity, unlike today when I wake up and we've gone from
Christmas to Easter in a flash.

So it's hard to say what my favorite show as a kid was because I had so
many over the years that I never missed.

Now, if you asked me "of all time" I'd have to say Lost, which is on
currently. After that would be the first 4 seasons of "West Wing". After
Aaron Sorkin left, the show went downhill very fast.

Truth is, I find old TV to be just that, old. It's too simple for me these
days. Stuff that I used to love a lot now does very little for me. I guess
as you get older, your tastes change. At least mine have.

I used to love the 60s Batman. Now, it's so bad it's...well... bad.

Star Trek, for the most part, has aged well. The episode with Joan Collins
is still as good as anything that's been on TV since.

Truth is, I watch very little TV anymore. I can count the shows I watch
          today on two hands.

In order from favorite to least favorite

          "Lost"
          "Criminal Minds"
          "Big Bang Theory"
          "Desperate Housewives"
          "Smallville"
          "Numbers"
          "Law & Order"
"24" (of which this season is just awful)

          And that's it.

I spend most of my time listening to music or working on my business.

No, TV isn't what is used to be for me.

Don't know about the message. It was on a long time back and I was too little to understand it.

Would sure like to watch it again.

Captain Planet. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Darkwing Duck. Thundercats, James Bond Jr, Ghostbusters, Where on earth is carmen san diego?, Jonny Quest and so much more.

The early 90's was a golden generation of fantastic children's entertainment. Now days the stuff they show is pretty meh compared to back then.
They need to bring the old stuff back. It'd be a huge hit, I'm sure of it.

Scooby was ok.. Not that great. Scrappy-Doo was cool, the rest just meh. Tom & Jerry and Scooby Doo were few shows I didn't like to watch.

While, Flintstones, Popeye, Captain Planet, The Jetsons were some of my favs.

They don't show these anymore here (except for Popeye I think.) Everything on Cartoon Network these days is stupid nonsense.

Actually, all the so-called cartoons these days are like pre-teen sitcoms and sci-fi shows. Nothing cartoony about them. You might as well put actors on the show and made it a sci-fi.

Phineas & Ferb and Crayon Shin Chan are the only cartoons I watch these days.

How dare you?! Don't you EVER talk bad about Scooby Doo again or bad about scrappy doo again! Don't you know Scrappy Doo is what ruined Scooby Doo? Arrrggg I hate Scrappy Doo.

Hmmm I vaguely remember Captain Planet. I think it came on for a brief time when I was lil but the bus came before it was thru. I would have completely forgotten that if someone didn't mention it. I barely remember it now. Wonder if its on youtube?

In the 80s cartoons there was always a "moral to the story". Most of what's on today-just scary.

Fave shows of today-Hoarders-Mondays at 10 on A&E you have to watch this if you haven't before! And a lot of the workout shows on FitTV, it's all I've been watching lately. And true crime shows like The Investigators and 48 Hours Mystery.

I'm known for my obsession with House. Hugh Laurie is one of my all-time favorites.

I do prefer the older seasons (1-3) though... I like the newer ones as well, but they don't carry the same charm as the first three IMHO.

I also love NCIS, Psych, Law & Order (SVU mainly, occasionally CI), Burn Notice... yeah, pretty much anything on USA is good for me.

      Family Guy, South Park, Simpsons.

      Various anime series...

      Billy and Mandy!

      Etc etc etc

The original airing of Billy And Mandy was over like 2 years ago wasn't it?

I don't know what's on there, but here we have the Ben 10 crap, multiple versions of Pokemon and some other similar animes.

Sarge, you know what I enjoyed? The old Republic cliff hanger serials

I used to get them on channel 13 (public TV) back when I was a little
    kid in the early 60s.

Here are some of my favorites:

    Flash Gordon's Trip To Mars
    Buck Rogers
    Flash Gordon Conquers The Universe
    Perils Of The Royal Mounted
    The Purple Monster Strikes
    The Black Widow
    Captain Video
Radar Men From The Moon (Commando Cody)
    Adventures Of Captain Africa

And of course I liked most of the superhero ones like Batman, Superman,
    Green Hornet, etc.

I'd have to say that my all time favorites of these, however, were the
    Flash Gordon serials.

There were times I was sure he or Dale or somebody were a goner.

    * EDIT * Some of the serials listed above were NOT made by Republic
but for all practical purposes, you couldn't tell one from another anyway.
