For those of you who watch 24 (been a fan since day 1) did they drop the
ball this season or is it just me?

I think this is the worst season by far.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

How many times can you rewrite the same spy thriller before you run out of new ideas? Go back and look through all their seasons, and you'll see a common formula running through them.

Eventually, when you're trying to twist the same storyline over and over, it gets stale. It's had a good run, but it's time to go.

I think I agree with you, though I don't think it's so much that they ran
out of ideas. I just think the execution this season has been off and they
seem to be all over the place.

Well, there's still a lot of season left so we'll see.

yea i used to be addicted to this show the first couple seasons. But now I feel like it's the same ol' recycled material. Jack ruffing up some guy in an interogation room..definitely lost its touch after like 9 seasons

I used to love 24! I'll still turn it on, but I usually end up working on my laptop instead of watching it. I thought that the Dana Walsh storyline was the most ridiculous yet. CTU wouldn't know about her real name and her criminal past?

Do you remember the season when Chloe worked with the guy named Edgar? That was probably my favorite season.

You assume that at some point they had the ball. Some of us find this to be a flawed argument on that basis.

Well yeah, I guess if you never liked the show to begin with that would be
      the case.

Maybe they should try with 48. Or 12. Or maybe even odd numbers?

This season just seems to be lacking something or maybe it's just the same story told in a different light. Don't really know. This year just doesn't pack the excitement of past seasons.
