It's Time to Take The Bull by The Horn: Here Is A Challenge For All Nigerian Warriors...

What is it this time? We all know that Nigerians that are running online business are facing difficulties because of the country's image internationally.

Now, I want to start something that will help at least Nigerians in this forum to start doing something postive in order to start seeing positive results. I discovered that whatever one achieves in life is a product of attitude.

Your attitude determines how people see you and relate to you. Your attitude determines whether people can trust you or not. And people cannot do any business with you particularly in this forum if they are afraid of you. In fact, your attitude determines how far you can go in life generally.

What do I want to do? I want to help all responsible Nigerians in this forum that REALly need help in any way that relates to making genuine money online. In case you want to know exactly what I intend to do; the truth is that I'm not going to share money so if you are thinking of asking for money you have really clicked on the wrong link. However, you are sure of getting what is worth more than money.

How do I intend to achieve this goal? I'm going to collaborate with Yommy, my internet business mentor/coach, and other respectable Nigerians here such as Adebola Oni (warrior username: bollytintin). Though I have not contacted Yommy but I'm pretty sure that he will support me. I'm also very sure that Adebola with root for me.

What Are The Conditions? Each and every interested Nigerian warrior should do the following:
  1. Post your real name here e.g. King Shiloh.
  2. Post your real location here e.g. Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
  3. Change your warrior forum avatar to your real picture so that I will see the face of the person I'm dealing with.
  4. State the major problems or challenges you have been facing in your online/offline business - please be specific.
Basically, I want us to stop hiding our identity because that is one way we can earn the trust of other warriors.

You don't have anything to lose and you stand a chance to gain what you might have never imagined.

P.S.: I don't care whether you joined the forum since 1997 or today. Once you meet the conditions, I will get back to you and see how far we can go from there.

Honestly, we, the Nigerian youths in particular, have to change our attitude if we really want to make it and we should start NOW! Take it or leave it, the best is yet to come and I have always believed that it will surely come but we have to work on ourselves first.

Federal Republic of Nigeria: "Good People; Great Nation". Again, lets change our attitude by working on ourselves NOW because that is the only we can be seen as good people globally and that is the only way we can become a great nation.

Best wishes.

I will continue to wait patiently until they show up because I know they will.

Don't you feel the problem isn't fixable given the countries inability to enforce cyber laws. I mean...do they even have anyone in jail there for internet crime?

If it's not against the law there to steal from Americans why should anyone really trust Nigerians?

Honestly, we, the Nigerian youths in particular, have to change our attitude if we really want to make it and we should start NOW!
I agree. My guess is that it will be easier for you to leave Nigeria than to change the hearts and minds of it's people.

I agree. My guess is that it will be easier for you to leave Nigeria than to change the hearts and minds of it's people.
My response to your first paragraph: I'm yet to see a problem that has got no solution. It all depends on mental attitude.

My response to your second paragraph: It is true that some Nigerians steal from Americans but it is NOT true that all Nigerians are thieves. And there are Nigerians that have earned the trust of people both in this forum and in the outside world.

My response to your last paragraph: It could be easier to leave Nigeria than to stay and solve the problems in Nigeria because you think that he who fights and runs away will live to fight another day. But I'm yet to see someone that solved a problem by staying far away from it. And if all Nigerians leave the country because that is the easiest thing to do, will there still be Nigeria? And are we in any way better than cowards?

Please may I ask you,"where are you from?"

Is the problem that of reaching out to fellow Nigerian Warriors or just an apathy
    on their own part?

      Definitely Michael.

Major, Major Props Shiloh. It takes guts, and honour to even attempt to do, what your doing here today.

I know the history behind your countrys decline into the "Scam Capital of The World" - and I know right now such scams are the heart and soul of your countries GDP.

If - and I place the utmost emphasis on that word - IF you were to succeed, introduce your countrymen to a more ethical (and profitable) way of monetizing the internet, you could very well do much more than change a few lurking warriors status on the forums.

    Best of luck!

If there's anything *I* can do to contribute to your efforts, shoot me a PM. It wouldnt be much of a stretch for me to put a very basic course together on some form of free traffic tied with affiliate marketing.

Relying on your honor (To give it away, and not start selling it); You could convert that into your native language, and distribute it freely to anyone and everyone you bring into your fold.

    Regards,

Would Nigerian IM Warriors be willing to answer some questions about your country? (Economy, geography, politics, everyday life, etc.)

    Thanks!

Here are a few things I wonder about.

I don't know if most of the population is in just a few main cities?
Is it easy or difficult to get across the country?
Would it be possible for you to start some kind of Nigerian Honest Internet Marketing Goodwill Conference - even if it just starts with two people who meet for tea?
For that matter, is tea with milk as popular there as in Kenya or South Africa?

Does political turmoil make everyday life unsafe, e.g. risk of armed riots vs. soldiers in the streets?

Do most people think of themselves as Nigerians first? Or are they Africans first, who just happen to live in Nigeria? Or do people feel they are primarily members of their family/clan/tribe first, and the nation is just some arbitrary lines the British drew on the map?

What I'm getting at here is whether it's even possible to get some national conference with a sense of pride - the way that people from anywhere in the U.S. could be happy to go to an American Marketing conference in Las Vegas or New York City.

A lot of people outside Nigeria have no idea about the basic facts of life there. I hope to learn!

Decided to check in and saw that a lot has gone on here. At least King covered my back.

No disrespect meant. I was attempting to be humorous by pointing out that maybe I'm not a good interviewer who needs help to find a good question. My goal was to bring about a chuckle and keep the conversation rolling. It wasn't my intention at all to be accusatory. In person, you would have seen me say it with a smile and a wave, inviting you to say more. If the written version came across with a negative tone, then I apologize.

    Chris,
Here are answers to your questions:

I don't know if most of the population is in just a few main cities?
Answer: Every part of Nigeria has good population density

Is it easy or difficult to get across the country?
Answer: It is difficult in terms of transportation because we have bad roads especially in various parts of the Southern Nigeria, particularly, South-East, South -South and South West. And air travel is for the rich few.

Would it be possible for you to start some kind of Nigerian Honest Internet Marketing Goodwill Conference - even if it just starts with two people who meet for tea?
    Answer: It is 100% possible.

For that matter, is tea with milk as popular there as in Kenya or South Africa?
Answer: Tea with milk is more popular in Nigeria than in Kenya or South Africa.
I even took one this morning though a friend told me that tea makes one to lose weight.

Does political turmoil make everyday life unsafe, e.g. risk of armed riots vs. soldiers in the streets?
Answer: It does really. For example, People in Jos, Plateau State have been running for their lives for some days now. Many lives have already been lost and properties worth millions of Naira destroyed.

Do most people think of themselves as Nigerians first? Or are they Africans first, who just happen to live in Nigeria? Or do people feel they are primarily members of their family/clan/tribe first, and the nation is just some arbitrary lines the British drew on the map?
Answer: Honestly, most people think of their tribes/family/clan first before thinking of the larger society.

Believe me, I know so much about my country and I think I would make a good reporter on National issues.

I searched Google News for "Jos Nigeria" and found many news reports about the terrible situation.

If this happened in my country, I don't think I'd be able to sleep or eat because of the worry.

The comments in the news make it seem that there are some people who believe the nation can get through this together. But maybe just as many other people who already give up on any hope for a stable country. These people expect civil war or complete chaos. Here are some examples of the perspectives I found:

      News report:
The resolution will empower calls from Nigerians who have asked that youth corps members be re-assigned from Plateau state. However, a few members of the House of Representatives, mostly from the affected state, opposed the proposal. They complained that such an order will imply a failure of the government and a total breakdown of law and order in Plateau state.
      Blog comment:
Time has come when the map of the country so called Nigeria will have to be redrawn. Nigeria no longer exists in our minds and spirit.
      News report:
National leaders appear to have little control over this region in Africa's most populous nation. The police and army failed to prevent these horrific massacres.
      Editorial:
(Jos violence) has more to do with socio-political problems than mindless religion-based warfare.Divisions are actually accentuated by a system of classifying people as indigenes and settlers.
      Back to King Shiloh:

Honestly, most people think of their tribes/family/clan first before thinking of the larger society.
I can start to understand why. If other clans, religions, regions are only the people who retaliate with violence, why not think of them as less than human. If the government and army can't be trusted to maintain peace or build roads, why not say the idea of a nation is no use.

What a temptation to tell whatever lies you can. Grab some money fast, and let everything around you turn into a living hell until you can escape.

It must take a lot of inner strength to rise above that level of hate and fear. How can people break the cycle of revenge or despair?

I suppose people like you will have a very hard time changing these attitudes. It seems there's nothing that people from the rest of the world can do except watch, hope, pray, and wish you well.

History proves that trying to enforce rules or ideas from far away is so disrespectful and doomed to failure. The change would have to come from the people themselves agreeing on their own new destiny.

I sincerely hope you and your fellow honest marketers can make the difference. Fate's given you the challenge of a lifetime.

Believe me, I know so much about my country and I think I would make a good reporter on National issues.
      You already are, my friend.

King, I will support this but sincerely it will be hard. It is going to be hard because Nigerians are not ready for a change.

See I know what I am saying, many of our youths prefer the quick fix method which is why so many of them are into scams. However, you can never be sure until you have tried and I am ready to help in any way.

I have been talking to Bola ( bollytintin ) about organizing seminars to get people aware. I guess Clickbank, paypal and the likes we remember we exist when we finally take the bull by the horn by creating awareness. All those effort spent on scamming people can be used to earn money online.

I will support this. I am ready any time any day.

      Yommy,

      Thanks for the long-awaited support.

Obviously, it's going to be hard considering the mindset of an average Nigerian youth in the street of Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja...name them but it takes challenges like this one for champions to emerge.

Once again, thanks for the heartwarming support.

      I believe in you.

      Happy weekend.

See I know what I am saying, many of our youths prefer the quick fix method which is why so many of them are into scams. However, you can never be sure until you have tried and I am ready to help in any way.

I have been talking to Bola ( bollytintin ) about organizing seminars to get people aware. I guess Clickbank, paypal and the links we remember we exist when we finally take the bull by the horn by creating awareness. All those effort spent on scamming people can be used to earn money online.

I will support this. I am ready any time any day.

@MarkAndrews IMCopywriting, I will like to recieve that PM to. You never know.

I'm behind you 100% - change always has to come from within to be truly effective.

My response to your second paragraph: It is true that some Nigerians steal from Americans but it is NOT true that all Nigerians are thieves.
Nor is it true that most victims are American or British. I run an anti-scam blog and victims frequently email me the stories of how they fell for the scammers stories. I publish them all.

The majority of victims who contact me don't speak English very well and are poor people live in poor countries.

This is the page www.keepsafeonthenet(dot)co(dot)uk/scam-victims/ That's not clickable because this thread is about supporting King and his fellow Nigerian Warriors, not about my site.

Edit: This forum is too clever - it keeps making that link clickable, even though I took out the dots. It's just created a link that goes nowhere!

King - you and Bolly and Yommy should get together and start running some IM seminars. Teach your fellow youngsters how to do this legitimately and build up a long term, sustainable business.

Ok, I'll learn to read!!! I see Yommy just said that.

        rosetrees,

Seminars, conferences and workshops have always been there. In fact, at the point of posting this right now, a seminar is going on not very far from where I stay in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

The problem, just like Yommy mentioned, is you may not see any serious minded person in that seminar venue because they are looking for handouts and get-rich-quick whatever.

But definitely, something has to be done. And something WILL be done, trust me.

Thanks Rosetrees. Check you email I sent you a message this morning.

As for organizing seminars, I will talk to Bolly and Kings about it. I think doing it at the University level is the best bet for now.

I never thought of this before but thanks to Kings, who brought up this idea.

I ended up blocking Nigerian IP ranges from my website/service. Sad to do so, as I *do* have several legit customers in Nigeria, but I was losing a lot on charge-backs from Nigerian's using stolen credit cards.

Great to see this effort here, I wish there was a way to easily (by which I mean automatically) distinguish the good from the bad.

Ah, that's cool. Sometimes it's hard to get tone of voice from just written words, isn't it? Cheers from across the pond!
