A 30,000-Year-Old Alphabet?

Seems us humans have been clever clogs for longer than we think. Up 'til know, it was believed writing only developed about 5,000 years ago. However, it seems there may have been an alphabet in use much longer than that - as long as 30,000 years:

Actually, earlier reports WERE closer to 8,000+ years ago. The earliest human, that they have seen real physical evidence of that is definitely human, is supposedly like 14,000 years old. Still, one has to wonder exactly how reliable some time measurements are.

Yep... we are about half as smart as we really are. Arrogance abounds within the elitist phd bunch. It's sad there are few real scientists in the world today... federal grant anyone. Just sign here to my sure you follow established guidelines.

Do you mean evidence for writing, or evidence for humans themselves? (Because I'm pretty sure anatomically-modern humans have been around for quite a bit longer than 14,000 years.)

8000 for writing. Now that I think about it, the 14000 should probably be 16000, because I believe it is 14000 BC. Anyway, SOME have claimed that eve was only 5000 years ago, so even 14000 is pretty old. Unlike EVE, however, they actually have the 16000yo body.

Of course, she has clothing, etc... which indicates a society, etc... So the age of the person doesn't say that humanity is that old, but older than that.

But jimmymc is right. Too many find some little thing, and figure they were the FIRST! My last boss CONSTANTLY advertised that he was FIRST at many things, even though he never checked. Since the stuff supported a banking industry that was WELL established, and the OTHER side HAD to be automated(Doing it on a small scale manually could take MONTHS, yet they managed to do it in seconds), and they had an electronic exchange, logic dictates that others were there FIRST!

I used to always see stuff advertised on the news, etc... like it was new though I knew of it existing long before that. And there has apparently been some medical knowledge that is VERY old.

Who is to say atlantis didn't really exist, or that something similar did. I once saw a documentary of a tribe that saw an airplane and LATER built a similar device out of twigs! It was almost like the proverbial golden calf except it was made out of twigs, and was of an airplane. Maybe the gods were merely people with special knowledge, or aliens.

Just so people know where I am coming from, Caprica and the cylons is kind of similar. Daniel Graystone SUPPOSEDLY created some intelligent robot, but REALLY stole a device from Vergis, which doesn't work and he can't duplicate, and work from his daughter that kind of melded everything together and got all to work. And yet he passes it off as his own. The really odd thing is that as great as it seems, it is better than anyone knows. Sadly, that kind of stuff happens all the time.

Rudimentary writing has been pushed back to 30,000 years just recently. They found some 30,000 year old eggshells with carving on them that is systematic and seems to be a representation that we can consider writing. Not sure how the "experts" will decide to classify it yet - but it was written and it was apparently communication.

There are a lot of discoveries lately that push human civilization back further and further. A 200,000 year old settlement is being studied in Africa - in fact a lot of extreme ancient stuff is found in Africa. Beads found in a cave in SW Africa have been dated to 130,000 years old -- you can read about that at ezinearticles.com - look me up as expert author and it's in the list somewhere, I think second page or bottom of the first - ya might also want to read my article "The map that shouldn't be" while you are there - it tells of a 500 year old map that we couldn't have produced with such accuracy until the 70s. It even shows the coast of Antarctica without snow -- that takes it back to info from 12,000 years ago (and some that we can't get without areal viewing.

And to answer the question of dating - sometimes it's easier than others. It was recently discovered that man was sea faring for the last 130,000 years. Tools were found on an Island of Greece and considering that was an Island for 5 million years, we know people didn't walk to it. The way they know the age of these tools is that they are just being exposed now in a layer of earth that was buried by volcanoes about that long ago (a little longer but they are being conservative when they give the dates). The Tools have to be that old to have been buried in that layer. Word is that Scientific authority agencies have hidden the existence of other such tool finds in America - the scientists KNOW damned well that the artifacts they find when exposing geological areas that were buried in earth events have to be as old as the layer they are being pulled out of. You can't date an arrowhead that was under a 30,000 year old volcanic flow at 6,000 years.
So that is how they date some things. With rock etchings they now have a method called atomic signaturing that will date when the stone was chipped or carved somehow buy using atom aging/halflifes, something. Not sure how. They know though.

It's possible because the human civilization is older than we thought.

Hey thanks Jimmy for the pdf. It's absolutely fasinating. A real eye opener. Something which I have been joking around with to certain groups of people seem as though it may actually be true.

    Is part 2 available?

Once I finish reading I will search the site.

    Thanks
