Just wanted to pass along that it's a good idea to go to your State's Unclaimed Property every once an a while, just to see if there's any forgotten funds lying around with your name on it.

I checked 2 years ago - and found a few 100 bucks for my Dad, but nothing for me or my other immediate family members.

Today - there were 5 items, close to $400. It will take 6 months for them to process the claims, but I'm not complaining.

Sites like Missing Money dot com, didn't show what I found on my State's official .gov website, so be sure to go to any state you ever lived in's site.

  • Yeah, i found like 250 bucks on one of those sites. One was from an old paycheck i didnt pick up when i quit a job pumping gas back when i was like 18 or so
